Good thing I haven't bought the turbo yet, awaiting some updates on the moto X play, which will hopefully also have a pure edition. But while waiting I may just buy the turbo until the pure edition comes out

I have a question for those who have used both versions with a case. The nylon version is a bit bigger than the metallized version but the cases are compatible with the nylon version. So does that mean that the cases are a bit loose on the metallized version?

Heads-up on the Moto Flip case!!!!

Heads up on this case. My verizon store had it in stock. since the 64gb version of the Droid Turbo is slightly bigger, its an absolute squeeze to get it in and out. Damn near impossible. ALSO, the cover that flips over has incredibly weak magnets, when sliding the phone in and out of your pocket the flip cover slides around, feels very sloppy in my opinion. I personally didnt get it specifically because the flap cover wont stay in position. Keeps getting tilted and skewed and not lining up with the magnets that are supposed to hold it closed.

Bummer. I was looking forward to using one of those. Thanks for the heads-up.

Tech21 with D3O

I have the ballistic nylon and the Tech21 TPU case with D3O is great. It is grippy, very slim, transparent, and has this amazing shock absorbing material. Look it up and you will be amazed.

I also am running the tech21 case with the 64gig. The case does have quite a grip to it considering it's a smooth back. It doesn't add much bulk to the phone at all. The phone itself is quite bulky to begin with even naked. I'm coming from a lg g3 and this phone is thicker. There wasn't much cases available at the Verizon store nor online. When they showed me the tech21 case I immediately took it. Saw the videos online and heard good reviews about these cases. Just wish they had a pure black case instead of the smokey clear grey. Hopefully later they'll come out with black. But so far loving the case.

I'm going to post a couple reviews on two cases that I'm currently testing for my Turbo.

The Moto Flip case (ballistic nylon)
The Incipio Dualpro case

I will be testing with tight pockets, car mounts, chargers, and up-to-ear usage.

I previously mentioned how the Moto Flip case did not satisfy me but I decided to give it a more hands on a approach before I criticize it.

Was this case offered at verizon? I really want the slimmest case I can possibly find. I hate making the phone feel bigger than it needs to be. Let me know where you picked this up.

ALSO - does anyone else know of any slim cases for the turbo? Im willing to pick them up and do some reviews.

Is this the same case?

I tried a flip case with the LG G2 and did not like having to always open it. Might be different here, but the always swinging it open to answer a text was a pain.

I tried the Incipio Dual Pro, and returned it for the Tech21. The Incipio case was larger than the Tech21 and it was slippery, where the Tech21 is grippy.

What about the High Gloss Silicon?

So you can confirm that the Tech21 case is slimmer than the Incipio Dualpro?

And has anyone tried the High Gloss Silicon case? I was told by a verizon associate that it is currently the slimmest case they have but would like to hear it from someone who owns this case. Thanks!

Yes, the Tech21 is slimmer. It may not be as attractive being that it only comes in charcoal transparent grey. But the transparency shows the ballistic nylon, or the red of the red Turbo.

My verizon store didnt have the Tech21 in stock. I ended up picking out the High Gloss silicon. So far I really like this case. Its definitely the slimmest case so far.

I'd like a flipcase like the one made by Motorola, but I'm not holding my breath for them to redesign it. Maybe someone else can show them how to do it right. In the meantime, I'm really hoping to find a microfiber-lined slip. Just something to provide a barrier from anything else that might be in my pocket, as well as when it isn't in my pocket.

After using the flip case for a few days I can say its definitely worth getting if you like the folio style. It takes a couple days for the leather to get used to the phone shape. After that the magnets work great and the flip case is an A++ from Motorola. I apologize for putting it in a bad light before trying it.
