After using the flip case for a few days I can say its definitely worth getting if you like the folio style. It takes a couple days for the leather to get used to the phone shape. After that the magnets work great and the flip case is an A++ from Motorola. I apologize for putting it in a bad light before trying it.

No worries. I was really taken with the Dot Case for the HTC One and I was really looking forward to something similar for the Turbo and Moto Display so it was disheartening to hear that the Moto flipcase didn't impress you initially. I'll give one a spin when I get the chance.

I slide my phone in and out of my pocket at least twice a minute. The leather Moto Flip case feels pretty slim, easy to get in and out of pockets. the flip cover flips all the way around the back so you can mount it to a car mount or hold it like a normal phone. The magnets work fine once the leather settles a little bit. Great deal for 60 bucks! dont be fooled by the initial use of this case. It takes a little time for the leather to break-in and form perfectly to the phone. Again A+ motorola!

Got word back from Diztronic, they are working on them and should be ready in 2 weeks :)
Awesome! Love their cases.

I'm planning on keeping this phone naked more than I did with my previous one (S3), thanks to the nylon back, increased size, and one-time screen replacement, but still want to have a good cheap case on hand.

I would like to see the Lifeproof as well if anyone can. The ones on their website have different capacitive buttons that look smaller than the ones actually on the phone. I want to see how close the bottom of the case's bezel gets to those buttons. Thanks in advance!
I had the Lifeproof and returned it. It muffled the sound by at least 50% and the buttons were not as responsive as I had hoped. They were too close to the case itself. I could have lived with that but the sound was the dealbreaker. When I returned it the rep at the store said they have had most of the ones they sold returned for the same problems. Otterbox Defender is what I went with. No issues with the sound or the buttons.

Just a heads up for those defender users that remove the built in screen protector. I've always removed the built in screen protector on defenders since my first (iphone 4, 2010) because of their subpar optical characteristics. On some phones, the lack of having this screen protector means there is more slack and the phone may not fit in perfectly tight. Due to the extra thickness of the 64GB ballistic nylon, the device fits perfectly without the built in screen protector!

It does add a ton of bulk as one expects using a defender. I bet the phone would survive a drop down a silo, falling out of a pocket or saddle bag at highway speed, etc!

Most of the time inside I prefer to use it naked, but in the past I've always had a minimalist case for my devices. I'd be willing to bet the best case would be Diztronic for this role. Right now, the silicone case from Verizon looks to be the best bet. I may have to pick one up to carry me over until Amazon has the Diztronic.

droid turbo flip case.

Does anyone know if the motorola flip case allows access to the headphone jack? I can't find any images that show it from the top, but it looks like it's sealed all the way across.
Headphone jack is unobstructed. Top of case is open. Snug fit, tough to get in and out. Software for flip is a bit weak but im hoping for an update. Also qi charger works through case.

The Tudia looks nice as well, it should be available in about a week on Amazon.

I picked up the silicone case from Verizon and it fits well and is much slimmer than the Tech21.
It should protect fine, no worries about sitting the device down and picking up dirt on the nylon or scratching the screen if it's placed face down and the cat runs across it spinning it around 50 times, LOL!

I like mine naked, because of the cool nylon back. But as others have said, if they came out with a 'bumper guard' type of protection (i.e. went just around the edges) I'd buy that in a flash...

What I am really looking for, though, is a pouch-style holster case. Something I can just slide my Turbo in and out with ease; but it is protected when in the pouch. Right now I am using my old Cellet Bergamo leather case that I used with my Droid Razr, which I really do like. The problem with the Turbo is that it's taller than the Razr so it doesn't quite fit vertically into the case (the top sticks out).

I've been looking around for another similar case (slightly larger) but it almost seems they don't exist. Anyone else know of something similar?
