I'm thinking of a HAL 9000 theme

My Ultra in red is still on back order with Wirefly.

But since all the reviewers are saying that while the phone's insides are great, it's a cold dark monolithic slab without the fun and warmth and humaneness of the Moto X, I'm just going to go along with their approach. That means a HAL 9000 theme, naturally.

Not worth fighting the conventional wisdom, I say.

Wallpaper I'm making from this.

I'm thinking some kind of reddish, round icons. Maybe these?

I'll post when it's done.

Here's what I got currently... a little busy but I like it:


Widgets: Zooper Widget (modified from existing templates)
Nova Launcher Prime
Wall
Icons

Also, lots of shortcuts: Tap on weather info to open weatherbug, hours opens clock, minutes opens alarms, sound icon toggles silent mode (via tasker), wifi, signal, and battery icons and scales go to their respective settings pages.

Here's my HAL / 2001 Theme

As I explained earlier in the thread, with everyone criticizing the Ultra as a bland soulless slab, I thought a HAL theme would be appropriate, particularly since I got the red Ultra.

Nova Prime Launcher
Wallpaper homemade from this Deviant art image.
Clock by UCCW. I padded the minutes with two zeros so it matches HAL 9000.
Icons:Serious Crazy Red 62 for the dock, and for now I'm using Carbn Red for app icons.

Notification panels (to left of HAL) are homemade from online sources - they're direct dial widgets to my frequently called numbers. Made with Desktop VisualizeR.

(PS - I trained the phone's Touchless Control to respond to "OK Google, HAL." It works.)
