I found this topic over here at the Atrix forum.

I copied/pasted the below quote from the Dropbox forum here.

Hi everyone!

Even though the holidays have passed, we're really stoked to give you guys one more present -- a new experimental release! Under the wrapping you'll find a bunch of new toys, including a brand new Camera Upload feature. Here are the release notes:

• Automatically uploads photos and videos in the background using Wi-Fi or data plan
• 500MB of free space on first photo uploaded automatically
• Upload files of any size (no more 180 MB limit!)
• Support for resuming file uploads when there are network issues
• Various performance improvements & bug fixes

During this beta period, we are also offering additional free space to test automatic uploading of photos and videos. For every 500MB of photos and videos automatically uploaded, you'll receive another 500MB space bonus, up to 5GB total (including the initial 500MB space).

[Update: this space is not separate from 5GB given for uploading on our desktop clients. Uploading from either desktop clients or Android app will count towards the same 5GB free space.]
Since there aren't really any good instructions on how this works I figured it might help to share what I had to do to get the free 500mb

First either download the apk from here. Or get it straight to your phone from this QR code. Both of these links can be found at the Dropbox forum page here (http://forums.dropbox.com/topic.php?id=53013).

Once you have the app installed either fresh or over a previous install. Open it. It should take you through the setup as if it was a new install rather than an update. Once the setup was over the app went to a new screen and showed my photos and videos being found and then it began to upload them.

I haven't had a chance to steal the Nook Color from my daughter long enough to try it out on it. But I expect it to work just fine. I'll go ahead and share my Atrix story below. It might or might not happen on the NC. If it does just shut down and restart. It should be cool after that.

I did have an issue when running it for the first time on my Motorola Atrix. I went into my settings while it was uploading. When I went back to Dropbox. The app did a funky crash, force close. Then it got interesting. The app opened and wanted to start all over, then closed, then opened and began a loop of that that would not close or allow me to get to settings or anything that would help. I had no issue when pressing the fingerprint button and then choosing to shut down.

After it restarted I went back to Dropbox. I had to log in, but other than that it is running just fine. No more weird loops, fc's or strangeness of any sort so far. And I did get my 500mb right away. I did delete the photos that I tried uploading from my pc earlier and it didn't act like I cheated or anything.

Now hopefully no one minds if I put in a shameless plug.

If you don't already have Dropbox and want to try it please consider using my referral link(http://db.tt/LbHgKOa). Using my referral link gives both you and I an extra 500mb of space when you sign up. It is free!

If you'd rather just go straight to the Dropbox website it is here. http://www.dropbox.com.

Also if anyone else wants to post their referral link below I don't mind at all. We should all go for the max space allowed.

I didn't feel like putting 1 million pictures on my Nook so I copied a few HD movies from my computer into SD Card/DCIM/screenshots and renamed the file to look like the pics around it and then I changed the extension to .png and let it do its thing. I now have 5 more GB of space.

yeah. Box has 50gb, but my data feels kinda locked there (no batch DL for free accounts). And the 100mb file limit severely limits its usefulness.

I've upped my account to 7gb so far. Trying 8 ;)
