Radium 3 has some bugs fixed....

Though Wait for 10 odd days for Radium 4. Planning a full revamp in coming days :angel:. (This time 10 days == 10 days ,not 10 months :victory: )

I'm always running a GB rom with one of your kernel ... Awesome experimentation. Still working fine !
I'd like to upgrade my beautiful Mango on ICS or JB rom and i trust on your kernel that's why i'll wait for your fourth Radium Jewel :silly:

Radium 4 : It looks like Radium 2..It is 99% of Radium 2 ...Except for

• Radium Green is default theme...
• Nova Launcher replaces Stock Launcher. :meep:
• MultiLing Keyboard Replaces AnyKeySoft Keyboard.
• The contact thing works now...Issue with Timescape as pointed out by @Verbato .

Meh....What did you expect from a stripped down ROM...There some more stuff to strip and compress but that will have to wait for 2016 when I have time to kill....

Now as you see there is only kernel for active. Thats because my PC is getting hung while compiling . #BlamesIlluminati .
The kernel is the one I compiled 2 months back when I wanted the best battery out of my phone >_> .

I will try to get the remaining devices to compile ,but if they don't...
Get Doppler 3. So if any of you peeps think Battery > 100 MB free space ,head over to Doppler thread and get version 3.
Dopller 3 doesn't have the battery bleed bug....If you haven't faced it yet then bless you...It's a bug when your devices gets over a million of wakelocks which bleeds your battery to death. Every kernel after D4 has that bug..

Also if you look at cat /proc/version on active ,it will say it's Doppler v3....Thats because I was lazy to recompile and pack the wifi modules....Lazy fellow this karandpr guy...

Yeah....That's probably the best feature of Radium >_>. Try the doppler kernels if you want more space in /system....you will get 300MB ish...

Can we have a little more info about the versions? From what I can tell, Radium 4 is likely to kill battery life?

I'm after stability over everything else!

I started Radium since I wanted a slim and featureless ROM. This because I wanted to leverage partition layouts for Maximum /data. Most of Radium updates are bug fixes.

Lets see
Radium 1 : Based on Satsuma FTF , with patch files for other devices. This had bugs because most ROMs are based on LWW FTF with patches.
Radium 2: Each ROM is based on it's individual FTF ,+ had misc APN fixes. Ideally this would have been last version but it had contacts bug related to removal of Timescape.
Radium 3: Non existent for non-satsuma devices. More of personal ROM.
Radium 4: Fixed those Timescape files. Replaced Launcher with Nova and keyboard with MultiLing

There are not many changes but I wanted Radium to be a base ROM not a feature rich bloat bubble....

On kernel side ,most devices use Doppler 4 as base. It is fine for a kernel base except for an annoying random bug. Sometimes there are over a million kernel wakelocks which prevent the device from sleeping. It drains out your battery like a vampire. It's a random thing and I am not really sure.
After rolling back and working on commit by commit it turns out there is no bug on Doppler 3 based kernel.
So The kernel I wanted to use for Radium 4 is based on Doppler 3 unlike others.

tl;dr
Radium 4 doesn't have any negative effect on battery.
However ,I have not compiled it for any others due to my failing Linux system.

Ohh and ,it has USB tether & WiFi tether.
It also theoretically has USB OTG....
Practically it doesn't work though....

I went for it, so here's my feedback.

It's supremely fast compared to legacyxperia CM 10/11/12.1
It has all the features enabled (speaker volume, fm) and less bugs then the above
Battery life is much better than the above.

All I could find that wasn't so good is;

Phone reset once. I've uninstalled the CPU app now, but it wasn't overclocked.
No USB direct SD mount (that I could find). mtp protocol is buggy and doesn't allow for large file transfers without input/output error.
The contacts app seems very old, or doesn't have the import/export features of newer Google People. I need this to import my contacts.
No way to change background to an image/colour.

Honestly, that's it. The Apps can be downloaded from the various apk sites. This is now my default ROM.

First of all thanks for the update Karan ................. bit confused can i flash Radium 4 on Radium 2 or i have to do with fast boot and is dialer has been changed of its the same as Radium 2..................:angel:

Just format system in recovery and flash.
And clean the dalvik cache.
Radium 4 can be dirty flashed over 2 >_>. Dialer is same as 2. No need to format /data.
Will theme stuff soon like ,Dialer and other "blue" areas

Does Doppler3 have Two Way Call Recording patches?? If not will Radium 4 work with Mesa Hybrid v4.8 kernel? I'm looking for some good stock based ROM for my sk17i as I'm a bit tired with various small incompatibilities of CM.

Yeah, use it with Mesa 4.8...D3 doesn't have Two Way Call Recording afaik.

Just installed it with D3 and it looks like it have TWCR. It's worth to have additional 140Mb for apps too so I'll stick wit D3.

Just another update. For v4, the ROM is unstable, with phone resetting at least once a day. Other than that, and being unable to kill the green background, I've not had many issues.

Interesting ....I am using it on my active and it works fine...Though I use limited apps like Whatsapp ,Tapatalk & Calling ....I will try stressing it out and check....

That's unstressed. It's just sitting on the table at work when it happens. It's stable during use.

Most ROM developers fixed the bug by switching to newer aroma installer.
Most users used a kernel with older recovery to install buggy ROM.

The half screen bug dates at 2012 ...This is 2015 and any new aroma zip should not have that bug.
