Only thing I noticed when I used mine on the Nexus 6, if you left it in, it was a constant battery drain.

I originally got it to store 70GB of music on it. Every time I plugged the drive in, it would have to "scan for media" or something similar. The more storage/media, the longer it took. And when it was plugged in, you cant charge your phone (and wireless charging did not work either).

The USBC with PD (power delivery) on the Pixel allows for data and charging simultaneously.

Thats nice! But still wouldnt work with those listed in the OP tho. How do you charge at the same time?
Good question. Id have to check if any allow simultaneous data + charge, use a usb a extension cable.

Besides my intention is having portable access to mass storage mainly for offline data access.. It works as a charging cable as well albeit a short one. Can be used to xfer from another device/ pc..
