Also failed in my case despite considerable filing. They've definitely tightened up the slot to curb on users doing this, for some reason?? But you can buy extender adapters which are very low-profile and still likely to work I'm sure. I was very disappointed to see that they combined MicroSD and Nano sim so that only one can be exclusively used in the slot. Poor design. All 3 should be possible without any difficulty! Are we not paying for this convenience?
At what point will you be satisfied? The Note 8 duo is between 100.00€ & 150.00€ more expensive to purchase in Europe.
Samsung make a dual SIM unit and still there is moaning? Would you prefer Samsung to revert back to zero SD card and only one SIM card as they did some time back?

You see when you mess with the device like this and force things into the SD-SIM card slot you run the risk of damaging your mobile. That's fine BUT its my experience that those who do these things then moan when they screw up their mobile!
Modify your own device at your own peril but please don't moan and don't blame Samsung if the device goes boobs up..

This "hack" works perfectly for me.

Started on Note 7,then onto the replacement S7e, and now on my Note 8. Never did any filing, but it somehow fits better on my Note 8

In what way are Samsung screwing us in THIS respect? Have you been sold a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 that has instructions you can add two SIM cards and an SD card? Nope. So...........HOW are Samsung screwing us?

It's possible—but can in really be so? Once you remove the plastic, you're just left with the chipset. Can in differ in thickness?
Yes, ive seen some pictures of Sim chips with a black block behind, mine doesn't have that.

Please do not follow those youtube videos. I have lost my 64gb sandisk card and 2nd sim slot of my OPX which is not repairable.

This "hack" is indeed risky,t hough if you do it with care. It really isn't impossible to do (provided that the materials you'll use are compatible with the procedure)

Who said impossible. I just wanted to remind the possibilties of other side. As you are using latest mobile bought with launching price. The risk which is involved is very high.

You need to chill a little bit, you're sharing your experience just as i did mine.

I'm not saying the your wrong, in fact i agreed that it's a risky thing to do. ;)

Yes, mine had the block, plus I used the thinnest double-sided tape. That must be the difference.

What's the block for?
I'm not really sure what the block is for, MAYBE you can shave if just a little bit but be veeerrrryyy careful because you might ruin your sim card.

If you have an old sim similar to what you have right now, maybe you can try doing the shaving on that one first before moving onto your main sim.

Hi Bro,

Can share some pics or videos on how it looks on your note 8? specially when inserting the tray into the phone? I am really tempted to do this. I have this sdcard + sim mod on my S7e. :D

I find that hard to believe—I filed the SD from both sides, still wouldn't go in…
You need to remove the sim chip and connectors from the white mold it is glued to. You don't need to do anything to the microsd. The previously posted video uses the candle heat to melt the glue so you can pry it out. I, on the other hand, just cut off the edges then soaked it in acetone. Acetone dissolves the glue and the sim chip should come off on its own.

Quite on the contrary—even after stripping the SIM it's not enough on the Note 8, that's why I also filed the SD—still wouldn't go in…
It is a tight fit but I'm not sure why there's no room on yours. There is certainly enough room on mine. I even used double-sided tape instead of super glue to attach the sim onto the sd card. Using super glue should provide a less tighter fit.

Would you mind taking out your SIM tray and making a super-close-up picture of it from the side? So I could see exactly by how many fractions of an inch either the stripped SIM or the SD card protrudes—I'd like to compare with mine, and am afraid if I push it in using great force, I'm not gonna be able to eject the tray.
