I just did it and got the txt message almost instantly.

For those not getting the text you should be able to download it straight from here. Remember that you must have the UA string set to android.

This has nothing to do with multi-touch. The slashing moves are probably programmed in such a manner that they "take over" your character until the slash is complete. It's like this in a lot of PC-games and console games too. I remember all Zelda-games have been like that except the latest one.
