Ok. I had this problem the first time too. Plug your phone into your computer(make sure you're in mass storage mode and usb debugging is turned on). A pop up should come up, click on view files. Paste it right there. Then try it again.

Hi all, sorry for bringing this thread up. Im using samsung galaxy s with eclair. My problem is my usb cable will not connect to pc if its in debugging mode. It will only connect if debugging mode is off. I've tried renaming the update zip file but still won't update. I'm not sure if I've properly install the update.zip file to my root internal sdcard since it won't access windows with debugging mode ON.

Any advice would be appreciated thanks! :(

reinstall your drivers. try to get debugging working on pc and use super one click root 1.8 from the pc.

why wont the update.zip install? what is the error message?
you dont need debugging on to copy the update.zip file to the phone.
are you calling recovery mode or download mode - debugging?

It's very simple because i had same problem. Just format sd card and rename sdcard name to sdcard and copy your rom ( without extrat ) and will work. Cheese

You are a genius!

Did you rename the file update or update.zip, if you included.zip then the file in on your sd would read update.zip.zip and I have seen this happen. Coonect your phone to your pc and mount it then look in the sd and be sure you named it correctly. Thats' where I would start and post this question in the thread so the developer that made this or someone there could help you.
