Earphone play/pause click wont work as shutter during camera app.

I tried different earphone/headphone with mic and the button but did not work. It works on my older Motorola phone but not on OnePlus 3T. I even checked on my colleague's OnePlus 6 and still doesn't work. How to get it to work?

Is this even a standard function in android? Never heard of it.
