Help with Flashtool for my Xperia S

Hi,

I really need help!
I tried to install the new Android 7 on my Sony Xperia s. So I unlocked the bootloader, rooted it and tried to flash it with flashtool.
So something went wrong and when I try to start it only the sony logo appears. What can I do?
Now I only want my old Android 4.1.2 with firmware 6.2.B.1.96 back, but I find no download for a .ftf-file to include that into the firmware tool of Flashtool, and does that work to get my old Android back?
I can´t start the phone and I also can´t get into Recovery mode, I only can come in Flashboot mode and connect it to the Pc.
Can someone send me a link or help me otherwise. I really need my cellphone and now I only would like to have it back on my old Android.
Thanks for answers

Thanks

Thanks

Did you wipe cashe, data, and dalvik cashe. If you did and your phone is stuck at sony logo then system doesn't work. You can try google to find combination of keys to enter recovery. If you can't then idk what else you can do since that never happened to me. Stuck on logo did and i wiped dalvik cashe, flashed system again and it worked.

Does towelzxperia load now but you still get not rooted error or does it say same thing about towelzxperia not exploiting as before?

This means that there are more files that you have to edit in order for that to work. I can't tell you which one since i had same problem as you and my phone still remains unrooted. You can try to edit all files as you did with towelzxperia and see if it works. If it does send me pm telling me which ones you edited. I would do that but i don't have much free time so if you have go for it :D

I don't even know what I am editing and what's it's meaning so I don't think I'm gonna do it because I don't want to break the phone.

So is there no way to root the latest official stock rom lollipop with locked Bl???

This tool won't work on 5.1. You can use Kingroot, and change to SuperSU, or unlock bl, and root with fastboot. You can easily backup and restore drm.

Thanks man!

Can you link me the guide for that king root method as I understand I can do this with keeping the BL unlocked at all?

I looked though these forums but sorry to say I am going nuts there are so many threads and discussion, part of them heavily outdated, it's hard to find what's relevant still.

BTW, did you by any chance figured out how to make it work for you?

This is Easy Root Tool for various Xperia devices (first developed for Z1 Compact). It's almost one-click root. The tool should work on Windows, Linux and Mac. Bootloader is untouched! No data is being wiped.

Note: Does not work on latest firmwares of most devices. Check your device forum for a work around (you should be able to flash kernel of old firmware to root and then flash back latest kernel).

    What you get
    • Root
    • Access to /system rw

    Requirements
    • USB debugging enabled
Settings => About phone => Click 7 times on Android Build to unlock developer options
    • Unknown sources enabled
      Settings => Security
    • adb drivers installed

    How to use
    1. Download the attachment (latest version) and extract it
    2. Start your device and plug it to your computer
    3. Run install.bat and follow the instructions on screen
    4. Congratulations! You should now be rooted.
