Can anyone who had issues with widget freezing in 4.3 confirm (or deny) that this problem is fixed in 4.4.2?

Thank you.

Well, in my case, I always sell my phones on ebay... And I ALWAYS sell them unlocked & rooted... And if it not rooted, I immediately root it before posting it. No matter KNOX is 0x0 or 0x11111111111. I have never seen a phone lost value because is KNOX 0x1... (that's me) At the contrary, that's when people pay more because it has custom ROM, is rooted/deodexed bla bla... When phones are rooted, that's when it gains 1/5 value. Again, that's my case...

Sent from XDA Premium HD app.
Do you advertize that your phones are KNOX 0x1? If not, do you lie if someone asks about it?
Anyhow, that's ebay, I was referring to swappa and what I've seen in almost 5 weeks I've been monitoring that site before found my phone.

Hi, just wonder if xposed wanam works with this rom? Thanks,
yes Xposed works, its not ROM specific, there are specific modules and add ons as well as general
The question was about xposed wanam module, not framework itself, which is more or less rom/android version specific ;)

I'm honest with my buyers when I sell a phone. I won't advertise the knox is tripped, but if asked I will not lie to them.
I will also inform them that T-Mobile doesn't care about the knox trip; I've turned in both Note 2s and a Note 3 worth no repercussions. Others can confirm that lack of Fs given by T-Mobile over a tripped knox.

But the seller should be honest to a buyer that is concerned about the knox.

I don't want hijack this topic with offtopic, but

I think we are talking about different issues here. Sure, you are correct if you buy the phone from T-Mobile, but it from 3nd party, especially second hand, there is no such thing as carrier warranty applied. T-Mobile can't guaranty that the phone you purchased somewhere else will work properly. Therefore you will deal with Samsung warranty, which is a whole different level regarding to knox. Am I wrong?

If I don't want to use philz recovery and want to use twrp instead can I? Is there a reason why philz is used initially?
Should I just follow the process as is and then odin twrp afterward? Thnx..:good::good:

Aaahhh, yes this is true. I've not had to use Samsung's warrenty so I'm not aware of how that plays out.

To stay on subject, this is always of interest to people so it's not too off topic, I have the premium hand set insurance. I pay the deductible, which sucks but it's what you do, and I get a replacement phone. This is done via T-Mobile, through a 3rd party company, and I don't have to worry about the knox trip.

You are correct about the 3rd party purchase and warrenty and it's a good point to bring up. I work around it with the insurance.

thx

Last time I saw that issue ad blocking was the culprit just a thought

Sent from my SM-N900T using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I uninstalled the Ad block. Still same issues. Wiped again and fix permissions. Still same issue.

So I went ahead and wiped all and reinstalled Rom. So far not issues. Lets hope this was the fix.

Thanks for the information and help.

Cheers!

Thank you. Came from Jedi Rom. Followed OP directions without a hitch. I substituted TWRP tar file for Recovery and I am now on KitKat rooted. I had to uninstall a few apps and re-install for them to work. Other than that everything works including Xpose framework and modules. Thank you again.

EDIT: my signal DID improve. I consistently only get 1 bar 4G LTE before but now I get at least 3 bars. I'm glad I updated this way instead of another way where you can keep 4.3 baseband.

Not sure what went wrong. you may have a bad download. As soon as you open Odin, then plug your phone back in. Use the new tar that you downloaded and place in AP and hit start. You shouldn't have to touch anything else in Odin. if you use the Odin that comes with CF-Autoroot. Everything else is greyed out so that you can't mess it up anyway.

Hope this helps. Post back if your still having issues.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED > > > Download ROM N900TUVUCNB4 Then Download CF-ROOT Also Download PHILZ RECOVERY And Finally Download EXT SD Write Fix

-> Here is a mirror of the ROM [N900TUVUCNB4]

INSTALLING ROM . . .

STEP 1 -> Unzip the ROM (file name TMB-N900TUVUCNB4-20140305155920.zip) & the CF-ROOT File (CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005.zip)

STEP 2 -> You will now have a program called Odin3 v3.09.exe... Run the program as Administrator (Right click, run as administrator) Once you open Odin3 v3.09.exe you will have a screen with only 2 checkmarks on it:

ON THE PHONE -> Then Turn OFF Your Phone and Turn it back ON by pressing POWER + VOLUME DOWN + HOME button together at the same time. A Warning Screen will come up; press Volume Up button to enter DOWNLOAD MODE.

> > > NOW CONNECT PHONE TO PC VIA USB < < <

STEP 3 -> Make sure your program looks like the picture above... Now click on AP and browse for the file N900TUVUCNB4_N900TTMBCNB4_N900TUVUCNB4_HOME.tar.md5.

>>> Now, If you are a 100% sure that your program looks like the picture above... Click START

-> The program will flash the ROM for a few moments then the phone will reboot by itself...
-> You now have New 4.4.2 KitKat TMO ROM, as soon as you finish looking at the new ROM, TURN OFF PHONE AGAIN > > > CONTINUE . . .

ROOTING ROM . . .

STEP 4 -> Put the phone back into DOWNLOAD MODE... This time you are going to flash this file: CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005.tar.md5 (Same as before... only difference is that you are going to browse for CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005.tar.md5 in ODIN v.3.09.

> > > THEN PRESS START

Phone will reboot by itself, you will see a RED ANDROID... and the phone will boot into Android again...

-> This time Android is Rooted... Now Turn Phone OFF Again...

CUSTOM RECOVERY (PHILZ RECOVERY)

STEP 5 -> Now unzip file: philz_touch_6.19.3-hlte.tar.zip . . . -> DOWNLOAD MODE AGAIN AND FLASH file: philz_touch_6.19.3-hlte.tar.md5 BY PRESSING START ON ODIN v.3.09 > > PHONE WILL REBOOT AFTER FLASHING RECOVERY . . .

EXTERNAL SD CARD WRITE FIX (This will make the APPS like Root Explorer / Titanium Backup and any other;... able to WRITE to EXTERNAL SD CARD, NOT JUST INTERNAL)

> > > Make sure file tmo_kk_extsd_fix.zip is in your Internal SD Card (Phone's Internal Memory < < < DO NOT UNZIP THIS FILE, SIMPLY COPY AND PASTE IT IN YOUR PHONE

STEP 6 -> Now turn OFF Phone Again... This time you are going to the recovery... (Not Download Mode) So basically after the phone is off, you just turn it on by pressing POWER + VOLUME UP + HOME button together at the same time.

-> You will see this... SEE PIC BELOW . . .

-> Now touch Install Zip > Then "Choose zip from /sdcard" Browse for the file tmo_kk_extsd_fix.zip . . . and finally YES Install... it Installs and back until you see REBOOT on top... and reboot...

> > > I just ask for a simple THANKS!
