Never understood why ppl flash cfauto....our bootloader is UNLOCKED COMPLETELY just Odin recovery of choice and flash supersu.zip
Thanks for the tip. What's your choice of recovery? Is there a thread that describes this simple method?

Just bought a NOTE 3 wish to root etc..

Hello all, Just picked up a used Note 3 its a T-Mobile Variant model SM-N900T running Lollipop 5.0 baseband N900TUVUFOB6
Would like to root and install TWRP, the link in the first page to cf-autoroot isnt working and I know the conversation for Lollipop starts on page 39 but its showing instructions for the Note 4 I believe.

Can someone tell me or point me in the right Direction to Root this Device properly.

appreciate any help.

Thanks

Louie

EDIT: Never-mind got Root and installed TWRP 2.8.6.0.

Now if Someone can tell me Of a nice Rom with Note 4 Features and other cool features that would be great, just would like to hear what some of you guys are running and your expierences are Nice and stable too

Thanks again

I'm currently running rooted stock Note 3 on 4.4.2 with custom bootloader. Interested in upgrading to lollipop. This guide looks like it is for phones that came with lollipop installed to get root, rather than any kinds of upgrade.

From my understanding, I will need to install a bootloader that will work with lollipop, then install a lollipop rom. Should I follow this guide to get a working lollipop boatloader and then install whatever rom after? Or would I install a lollipop rom first, then install a bootloader after?

If possible, I would like to avoid wiping the phone. I get the impression that I can do so (since I run stock rom, earlier in the thread it was mentioned it would work like an upgrade and not need a wipe). Will this guide work for my purpose?

Thanks for any help.

Rooted but Apps that need root can't use it

My phone is rooted but when I use apps like xmodgames or cleanmaster they say I'm not rooted. I checked Root Checker and is says root access is properly installed on this device. I know these apps work with root because I had accidently locked myself out of my phone (it was rooted) and had to factory reset it. Now for some reason even though it says I'm rooted my apps say I'm not rooted. TB says I have root access also. When I access an app that needs root supersu will ask me to grant it root access and i give it permanent access. Is there something I can do to try and fix this?

Is it possible to get the xposed framework to install on a stock rooted Lollipop? Sorry if this has been asked. Phone died out on Kitkat and I dont want to nandroid back to a backup, but rather go ahead and move forward to 5.0+ since im planning to redo the whole phone again from scratch.

I was able to get it to work. I just factory reset my phone again and went throught the process again and it worked. I think the problem was supersu was an app that was backed up on my phone so when I started my phone up it had two supersu apps installed and I think it was messing up the root some how.

Flashing N900TUVUFOB6 on N900W8

Is it possible to get N900TUVUFOB6 on N900W8? I'm trying to get tmobile's wifi calling onto the N900W8. If not, is there another way to get wifi calling?
