My sister has a a need for a replacement phone. I have an XT-926 that the display died after a hard fall a few years ago. I can use a mini HDMI cable and a USB-on-the-go mouse to interact with it. So it still works OK.
There is a crack under the glass and the display is completely dark.

Is it worth buying a replacement LCD/digitizer for ~$60 or just buying a newer model used device.

It's not going to be getting Android updates. It came from Verizon and my sister has straight talk.

Is it worth it?

To be 100% realistic and honest with you... This phone is approaching 5 years old and isn't worth hardly anything as far as specs, hardware, and resale worth. When I upgraded back in June 2014 it was a dead device then and the LG G2 I upgraded to was freaking amazing in every way possible. The LG G2 sells used on Ebay and Swappa for about $80-100 and if you're seriously thinking about spending $60+TIME for a new screen-- I strongly suggest/recommend that you take a look at Ebay and Swappa at the LG G2 I was talking about earlier- 5.2 inch stunning HD screen, 2.25ghz quad core processor, adreno 430 GPU, Android 4.4.2-6.0(and tons of development for custom Roms and kernels if you are into modding your device).... Anyways hope this helps you out in some way and if you have any questions or comments don't hesitate to PM me.

Sent from THIS OLD P.O.S XT926 I'M TEMPORARILY STUCK USING UNTIL I ACQUIRE THE LG V20 or NEXUS 6p!!!
