Is it possible to someway utilize the the landscape Status bar and stream info in that space and maybe write that same dimension at the bottom for other options...... It's just a thought....

It's called the ticker in the code. Someone could possibly re-enable it. Not sure if anyone has tried. The code is either disabled or completely removed in Android 5.0+.
