I'm still a little confused about mobile-locked device. Reading back it does seem that once the SIM lock (mobile lock) is removed the OEM unlock becomes available.

I'm still baffled that there is no bounty thread for BL unlock on these EE devices . I would pay £50 for my bootloader to be unlocked

I'm holding out for the six month network unlock personally.
A lot of people on Verizon thread obviously needing this fix... But I'm hoping the greyed out is different with EE. Especially as their tech department apparently don't know what a bootloader is... I doubt they'd actively lock it down.

Sim unlock is completely unrelated to OEM (Bootloader) unlock.
I'm on EE. The bootlader lock is the same on EE as Verizon. If you're hoping to unlock your bootloader running 7.1.1, then you're out of luck. And most likely indefinitely.

the oem toggle on EE model states it is unavailable on sim locked... so when sim lock is removed....

that's my hope

not that directly sim lock = oem unlock

i think it is a nominal charge after six months, EE will unlock - which, in theory should make the EE models able to unlock bootloader.

it does seem a different message to the verizon models

the bootloader is grey even if the phone is network free now and im talking about my phone and the network lock is like iphone lock linked to imei . so ....... u can use the brain .
ok, so

when it says "mobile locked devices" surely that is about network lock...

and don't be so insulting... the devices haven't been unlocked by the network yet (six months before they do)

u can use the brain... long walk, short pier

OK if your oem unlock become available turn on that to blue restart phone in fastboot and if you have adb and u need to have it do one of this 2 commands "fastboot oem unlock" or "fastboot flashing unlock"

Noob account and says unlocked with no proof and vanishes, just like the rest.
in fairness, he can't go back in time, undo the locking etc to prove it was a locked BL prior to it.

If i'd found out, first thing i'd have done would be unlock.. rather than film it for proof...
