Ive got a galaxy S7 (non edge )
its from EE france, 'G930FXXU1APBF'
i bought it online so its my own fault but i really need wifi calling !!!
It was great on my s6 which was direct from EE

can i still flash EE EVR ? please tell me it will work :mad:
Can't see why it wouldn't work, as long as it's a G930F it should be fine.

I had the same problem! I needed WiFi calling at my work place but it was not available on my G7 as it was a grey market phone with the country codes Taiwan and Hong Kong. Becuase of that my phone would not upgrade to the latest firmware from Samsung which enables WiFi calling on the EE network..

In the end I ended up flashing my phone to: G930FXXU1APD3 firmware that I found on Sam Mobile using Odin. I had never done this before so was a bit worried I would brick my phone but everything went well and I now have the option of the WiFi toggle which was not available before. I'm still not sure how well WiFi calling works as I flashed the phone over the weekend and have not tested it yet. I will do so tomorrow and will provide an update shortly!

I just wanted to report back on my post earlier to confirm WiFi calling works very well. Before in my work building I had horrible signal but now I am able to make and receive calls without any issues. With WiFi calling enabled on my phone I now see an icon of the WiFi signal being cradled by a phone icon on my task bar in the top right hand corner. I am even able to make calls from deep inside the London Underground where a WiFi hotspot is available!

One minor issue I have noticed is that the WiFi calling icon sometimes disappears from my phone despite being connected to WIFi but it soon returns. Other than that I must say this is a fantastic feature from EE.

Tried and tried to get wifi calling enabled on my G900F but it would never work. I got a suitable pit file and resized the ext4 partition so it installed correctly, but icon would never appear even when wifi calling enabled in settings and enabled by EE.

Got a G930F Galaxy S7 yesterday. It didn't come from EE so should have come with BTU firmware (I didnt check - but it didn't come with EE EVR firmware). It's a carphone warehouse one. It's the non edge version.

EE firmware appeared today on sammobile so I downloaded it and just went for it, but I expected it to fail so I had the BTU version of the firmware downloaded ready to flash to recover my phone.

It installed without a hitch (no ext4 partition error) and so far wifi calling seems to work. The icon appears at the top of the screen and when I make a call I have a big icon on the call screen. I need EE signal to completely drop in the house before I'm sure though, and annoyingly their signal is stronger than usual tonight.
Could this method potentially work on US T-Mobile to enable voLTE and/or wifi calling on G930F

Those who have wi-fi calling on EVR, could you please tell me what provider network do you have?
I'm on Orange Romania and I want to flash EVR to use wi-fi calling. I hope it works.
Thanks.

I highly doubt the evr firmware will work with anyone other than EE as it's set to connect to their ims servers.

If anything, the btu rom *might*

Thanks. I really do think the G930F is the best android phone from a hardware perspective. Just really want that sweet VoLTE and/or WiFi calling. I am wondering if a hybrid solution similar to what TEKHD did for the Note5 might work.

I was wondering if modifying the CSC file to allow for voLTE and/or wifi-calling would work if it were enabled similar to the Galaxy S6:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ma.wanam.cscexpert

Is the problem in that the firmware communicating with the carrier's server would need to be carrier specific and allow for wifi calling?

This made me wonder if it were possible to find another country that has T-mobile VoLTE and wifi calling available in that country or if this wouldn't work because no other countries use the same frequencies as US T-mobile (700Mhz, 1700Mhz and 1900Mhz)?

Currently I'm using my G900T running on Straight Talk (T-Mobile) All questions I'd like to figure out before I purchase the G930F at this time. :)

Congratulations, great to know that someone has this working.

I'm thinking of moving to EE when my current contract with Vodafone ends.

Meanwhile I tried the same procedure, but flashing the Vodafone UK firmware that's recently appeared on Sammobile. Flashing just the AP didn't seem to work as the CSC remained as BTU and no WiFi Calling. So I tried it again, this time flashing the CSC as well as AP in Odin. I ended up with what must have been the Vodafone Germany CSC (VD2) and still no WiFi Calling feature. Then tried flashing just the 'HOME...' CSC and soft bricked it. Managed to get back to the original BTU CSC using Kies3. So I'm not sure what's going on with the current Vodafone UK firmware from Sammobile. Either I messed up somehow or the version they currently have is not Voda UK. Not a very productive day.
did you ever get WiFi calling to work for Vod ? - I am in the same boat, hve tried many firmwares /CSC's and no luck, though often get the wifi calling enable check box, :(

No, I didn't. Finally gave up on Vodafone after they screwed up my voicemail service and couldn't fix it. Now with EE and running Samsung's generic UK firmware on the S7. WiFi Calling generally working very well although there is an issue on outgoing calls when using a bluetooth headset where the caller can't hear me. I have to start the outgoing call without bluetooth and then turn it on once the call is answered. Don't have this issue with incoming calls.

Very impressed with EE so far and pleased that Voda finally gave me the necessary incentive to dump them.
