I DID see the post about sdcard1 and tried it, but nothing happened. I also tried the method where I simply do:

su
reboot nvbackup

But I didn't see anything happening.
use "sdcard0".

Following is valid for all ROMs.
Open Mobile Terminal.

Type:

Code:
 ls /storage
It will show you the names of the internal and external memory with which the ROM has mounted the storage locations.

Leave "emulated".

Use the other names in the command provided in the OP. "sdcard0" is generally for internal storage. "sdcard1" / "extsdCard" is external sd card (ofcourse).

I think you should mention it in OP too, to use "sdcard0" as internal memory for the command instead of "extSdCard" as not everyone has an external memory card and this name differs from stock ROM to AOSP based ROMs.

Updated OP.
If time permits then will make Aroma installer to make EFS backup with different option like stock/AOP ROM and INT/ExtSD card. I think this will easy for newbies.
Doc what is the difference between efs backup and nv data backup and modem backup? If I do backup raw .img of efs, Is it not enough to go ahead?

That's not good idea, when you copy folder with explorer it will messup permission.

Which permission will be messed up? The original efs folder or just the backup one which I have copied from root??
