Hi

I am trying to backup an EFS on galaxy ace S5830i, this phone is in bootloop so I want to back up before flashing, EFS pro seems to have a message on it device not connected, another galaxy ace I have S5839i connects to the pc via windows so I presume the drivers are there unless they are different for this model.
As I cannot boot this phone I cannot use an android app, is there a way through recovery. I think TWRP has a function of backing up but I cannot get it to work, it says its installed but then goes back to the android recovery on reboot.

1. Read my [email protected] post#8; starts from the line : - "describing how to create your own flash able package,,,,," to Flash. " to get out of boot loop for either of s5830i/s5839i devices.
2. EFS Professional, only compatible with devices such as Samsung Galaxy S4 International (GT-I9500), Galaxy S4 LTE (GT-I9505), AT&T S4 (SGH-I747), Verizon Galaxy S4 (SCH-I545) and others. I have also tested it on Galaxy S3, S2, Note 2 and Note 10.1.
software requirements :
- Rooted Device
- Microsoft .NET Framework installed on your computer
- Install BusyBox app stable version 1.20.2 or above on your phone. Install the app on your phone open it. Tap on “BusyBox” version number and select BusyBox 1.20.2. Finally, then tap on “Install” and install it as “Smart Install”. ( this is why it says you are note connected in log area. However because of incompatibility, you can not see your device under “Device Filter” tab. Choose galaxy toolbox for EFS partition backup/restore instead and save a copy of the "EFSpart.img.SAVE" file someplace safe inside your PC.
- Charge your device to ensure 60% battery level
- Turn on USB Debugging mode on your phone or tablet from “Developer Options” on your device.

For your recovery concerns , we only use stock e3 recovery console of this device or we flash Temp-CWM ( cooperVe ) compatible .
Recommendation and summary : Use Odin 3.07 cooperVE to get to clean stock FW satte/ back up your EFS with galaxy toolbox/ flash cwm > go there for Nandroid back up of your device . ( Your /data/datas will be lost , too late for you mate. Your device is in boot loop position and you have no access to recovery mode i assume )

Download: Volume(+) + Volume(-) + Power

Recovery: Volume(+) + Home + Power

Accessing recovery stock e3 mode is a good news ,, Do you have any kind of flash able CWM ( cooperVe) compatible zip file inside your root of your SD card ? If yes flash it and restore your Nandroid back to revert back to your clean state . IF you don't have any back up inside your SD card , we might need to flash your xxx.tar.md5 stock firmware file over Odin 3.07 (CooperVe) to get it to your clean state . what was your CSC/PDA/MODEM parts of your official stock OS . your Region /Country and carrier you are using ? IMEI number could be salvage upon flashing custom kernel or using hex editor in many cases , depends on the parts I requested .

Reverting back to stock through my instruction @ post 2 would not cause any loss of IMEI as long as you do exactly as I have instructed . Grab this xxx.tar.md5 from this page <Registration is required > Make your slpitfus2 3 parts , yet again instruction was given @ post 2 . Flash as I instructed .
For your piece of my mind , there is no clear method for backing up EFS without access to Android OS as far as I know .
For ADB , read this topic , you need to know this essential stuff for your tinkering in near future .
