Elegencia to Kumar. No more H speed????

I flashed from elegencia to kumar 1.6 and with the elegencia I was seeing an H up in the corner, but now after switching to Kumar 1.6, I dont have that H ever showing. Speed seems a little slower too. Anyone else experience this? The kumar rom runs WAY faster and smoother so im definitely sticking with it.

Also, it looks like I was using the same radio with both of them.

Thanks for any advice. Im a noob at this stuff!!!

ive had that same problem since flashing kumars 1.6.. i didnt have the problem when i was using his 1.5

You were seeing H with the 1.5?

A ROM is set to show either 3G or H ( not both ) giving the illusion that you are actually getting a faster speed.

While the definition and speeds of 3G and H are different, for most people using custom ROMS its the same thing as the taskbar is just set to show one or the other not actually reflecting your true connection speed.

They could make a taskbar to show the Letter Z if they wanted. it's just a pic.

I understand that. But with the elegencia rom it seemed to go from 3g to H depending on where I was at. Very strange.

his 1.5 definitely had both 3G as well as H.. as a matter of fact the H would only pop up once i was doing something data oriented.. other than that it would jump between 3G and edge..

Yep, same here with the elegencia. Im in an area where Tmo has supposively rolled out the HSPDA speed. And the browsing seemed way faster when it was at H.

Is there a link to his 1.5? All I see is the 1.1 and the latest 1.61.

I remember with roms for my tp, it would show h once I was connected and transferring data... otherwise it showed 3g. I think the h just signifies that your actually connected and transferring, even though it's still 3g. when it's showing 3g, that just means you have reception, but not transferring. If it shows h when doing something with data only, thats probably what it is.
