What kids of lag are we talking? Do you get sms without any problems?

So far as I can tell SMS is within a reasonable period of time. I can open Gmail and it can take up to 10 or 15 minutes to populate..

I found a setting when in the notification system says an app is using power you can click on and it will ask you if you want it to stop closing different apps and you can go through and click the ones you don't want it to close.

After uninstalling the Gmail app from the Playstore and installing Gmail from the app gallery it seems to be working correctly.

App gallery is Huawei's play store? Don't have it yet but want to be prepared when I do. Thanks in advance.
