Mods, if this is the wrong forum for this, then please put it in the proper place, thanks

How to setup mail pop3 such as yahoo and other accounts and get it to work.

1.Tap Email Application

2.Tap Next.

3.Enter your e-mail address and password.

4.Tap Manual Setup.

5.Tap IMAP account.

1.From Incoming server settings, set the following:

2.IMAP Server field: imap.mail.yahoo.com

•Port: 143 (by default)

•Security type: Try TLS if that does not work leave it as "NONE"

Scroll down and select Next.

The device searches for incoming server information.

1.From Outgoing server settings, set the following:

2.SMTP Server field: smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com

•Port: 25 (On my phone the port number 587 was already. So if the port is not 25, leave whatever number is there)

•Security type: TLS (if available) Try TLS if that does not work leave it as "NONE"

Scroll down and select Next.

1.The device searches for outgoing server information.

2.Note that account options display and allow you to select how often to check for e-mail, set notifications, and check default setting account.

3.Enter the account a name.

4.Tap Done.

You should start getting your emails such as yahoo. I take no credit for this. The only differences I found was that TLS did not work and the port number changed on the outgoing mail settings.

Peace
