Enough messing around guys...I tried it, and have a serious problem now. Some people have claimed it'll work, but in my case...it did NOT.

I took the NV items known to restore the N900T's network after "corruption" and loaded them into the N900A after network "corruption". I reboot the phone and it keeps hanging at the AT&T logo during boot and sometimes will go into Android showing the notification bar at the top and the rest of the screen black (the device is frozen at this point, I can't even pull down the notification bar). Most of the time it'll just restart by itself after hanging at the AT&T logo for a minute or two. I've tried Odin'ing the appropriate build (MJ5) that was on the phone with no luck. I've wiped data/cache multiple times with no luck. I've tried ticking EFS clear in Odin to try to get it to reset the EFS back to default but that doesn't seem to do anything at all. I've tried Odin'ing the MI9 system and leaving the rest MJ5 and this still doesn't help.

I need a way to reset the EFS or even load my backed up EFS (mmcblk12,13,18) back into the phone. Stock recovery won't let me connect via ADB and like an idiot I uninstalled the safestrap recovery minutes before accidentally soft-bricking the phone. Sometimes...it'd be REALLY nice to have a time machine -.-

Like I said, I can provide you guys with the QCN file if someone can tell me how to get my IMEI out of it (so my IMEI number isn't written to your phones).

READ: I CURRENTLY HAVE AND AM USING A T-MOBILE NOTE 3.
Use the NV items reader/writer from the guys who made CDMA Workshop. After you create the NV backup you're going to need to open it with a text editor and erase nv item 550 out of there manually. PS: it wouldn't let you write 550 anyway. It's write protected (under most circumstances)

So...In other news, bump for my previous post. Does ANYONE know how to load nv items into the phone via Odin or through the stock recovery?! I'm thinking maybe I can rename the mmcblk12 and 13 backup as nvrebuild1.bin and nvrebuild2.bin and load them through the CP tab in Odin. God...I'm going to hard brick this POS...and I recently upgraded to Kit Kat to try to fix it. Fml + facepalm

EDIT: Made a solution for the N900A and N900T guys who are semi-bricked because of my situation. This WILL turn your IMEI into "/00" and you'll need NV items from a working N900X to get your network working (if you repair your IMEI back to ORIGINAL!)

Flash this in CP in Odin. I used 3.09. Confirmed working on my N900A.

I guess this is pretty much dea:rolleyes:d in the water..
There's now solutions avaliable for direct unlock for the N900, N900A and N900T. It's not nearly as simple as writing the NV items from one phone onto another. I've reverse engineered the process down to where a UART connection is needed...then I hit a brick wall.

Also note if you end up finding the solution...it's a very messy and non proper solution. I wouldn't recommend anyone use the current box solutions to unlock a Note 3. Super IMEIs are BAD, B-A-D.

What do you mean by "unlock"? Unlock 1700 MHz frequency? Can you pls post a link to the solution?

By unlock, I mean unlocked to work on different networks. There is a solution, I've seen it, I've done it, and it works. There are major issues with it, and the original IMEI can NOT be restored back. The IMEI cert passes and talk/text/2G/3G/LTE work. I will say that this isn't a free solution and is completely impossible on the N900A on 4.4.2 (thanks for killing Heimdall...)

I'm confused. Unlocking the phone to begin with isn't a problem...

I've had about a 75% shot at regionlockaway. On some phones, it just won't work. On others, it works perfectly. Doesn't matter 4.3 or 4.4.2. Doesn't matter the modem. Doesn't matter the method. For people desperate enough, a halfassed direct unlock is sufficient.

Dude no one is working on this.. i hope they close the thread
:good:
What the hell is wrong with you? How do you know no one is working on this? How do you know that no one is comparing nv items and efs hacks? How do you know what the rest of the world is doing? You dont. Simple.

And why the hell would they close this thread? IF someone comes along with information they can post it here. Your posts about taking this thread down because it's hopeless isn't helping anyone. If you don't want to see this thread anymore, don't visit it. Doesn't get any simpler than that. Now if you have some helpful suggestions that are on topic THAT would be helpful.

Does RegionLockAway permanent unlock the phone? Even after a new modem is flashed?

Now this I don't know. I was looking at the processes that the app performs and it seems that it does patch the modem. So in that case if you were to flash a modem over it, I can see the unlock being taken away.

While I don't agree with the harsh tone, he's (the other guy) is right. Someone could be working on this or know how to do it, but nobody's posted. Don't give up so quickly.
