Could you elaborate on this? Sorry but I'm a little confused. .
I have n900a on tmobile network and I'm reading that this method doesn't work...
What exactly did you do? If you don't mind explaining
So I backed up my qcn with qpst config and tried restoring your file and it failed immediately.... then I tried restoring my backup and that also failed immediately.

I was able to get data back using debug menu but I've been googling for hours trying to figure out why it failed and I can't find any info...

Anyone have any help?

I have a T-Mobile note 3 N900T and using it in Kenya but I think the right GSM frequency is locked as it has never connected to a network when set to GSM ONLY mode. Any way to tell this or how can I enable all GSM bands? The set works flawlessly on 3G but still displays 4G on the status bar yet we have no 4G here.

Many thanks.

LTE?

Let's go through this together.

1. Dial *#0808# and chose RMDIS+DIAG+ADB (I'm not sure if that's what it's called, but it's not the one with RMNET). Windows should install some drivers.

2. Open the program at C:\Program Files (x86)\Qualcomm\QPST\bin\RF_NV_Manager.exe

3. Click Setting -> Comport and pick the USB port with your phone attached to it (keep trying till you get the right one)

4. Click the first icon on top (Read NV from phone). You shouldn't get any errors; a popup window with a progress bar should come up.

5. Scroll down to line 1877. Paste this number exactly (you may have to right click and hit Paste): 115868416 That keeps all of the original bands enabled, and adds AWS HSPA+ (1700 MHz) on top to make it like the T-Mobile Note 3.

6. Click the Write NV button. You won't get any confirmation.

7. Reboot the phone and see if it works.
Ok brother!! First of all THANKS ALOT!! few days back in attempt to unlock more bands (I will come to this later in this post) I followed the same thread. I used QDM & RV Manager both to write values provided in thread, dumb enough to use some other model's value which did not give me what i was looking for plus gave me unstable network. On roaming, i even got no service. So basically i screwed my NVRAM. I had taken backup using QPST but it gave some errors, but your post helped me bring it back. So, THANKS ALOT!
Now what i wanted to do? I wanted to add LTE bands or u can say unlock LTE bands. I found that just like 1877 for WCDMA, 6828 & 6829 stores value for LTE. RV managed does not show anything beyond 6700 for my phone. BUT, QDM shows everything. So, have you discovered/found any value for LTE bands too just like 115868416 for WCDMA??? Basically i want to unlock LTE Band 3 1800 Mhz. Any idea bro?

" received an invalid command fromt the phone"

The original value should be: 82313984 Just follow the instructions and paste that instead of the other number I gave you. That's the code for the T-Mobile version's, but without 1700 MHz so it should be the same. If that doesn't work, reflash the modem. If that doesn't work (I highly doubt it won't), there's a way to reset the NVRAM (modem settings) if you can get to the Debug Menu.

I'm bummed it didn't work, because I actually added 900 MHz on my Note 3 with this method and, even though I can't test if it worked or not (no 900 MHz networks in the US), I don't get any reboots or anything.
Thanks for the information.
I also like to enable AWS on my ATT note 3 N900A ( costumed DomPod Lollipop 5.0.2) for T-mobile service.
The line at 1877 is " 82314112 " for my N900A.
I want to test Backup and Restore function in QPST before following your instructions.
Backuping and generating the qcn file in " QPST software download " is OK.
But it failed at the restoring when reading the qcn and reported the error " received an invalid command fromt the phone"

Any help ?
