How To Guide ENABLE DUAL SIM ON TMO 9 PRO ONLY!!!

(THIS IT NOT FOR THE UNLOCKED 9PRO LE2125)


DO THIS AT YOU OWN RISK!!


THIS METHOD IS 100% WORK FOR TMO 9PRO USER!!!

I HAVE NOT GOT A CHANCE TO GET IT STABLE ON OOS A11 YET!!

MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS!!
Dual Sim
(Tray Amazon where I got mine)
2 ACTIVE SIM CARDS
YOUR PHONE MUST BE SIM UNLOCKED!!
BACKUP YOUR EFS(IMEI)FOR SAFE MEASURE!
UNLOCK TOKEN IS ALWAYS HANDY! NOT REQUIRED THO!

MUST BE ON OOS 11.2.8.8. NA OR EU 11.2.8.8 TO START THE PROCESS


PLEASE FOLLOW THIS TO THE T!!AS THIS METHOD IS TESTED AND WORKING 100% FOR TMO 9PRO!! ONLY!!!

UNLOCK BOOTLOADER ON OOS 11

NOW UPDATE TO YOU FLAVOR OF A12 DP2 OR OB1
ROOT AND BACK YOU INFO IMEI AND SUCH WITH ONLY ONE SIM IN THE DEVICE
USE THIS APP PARTITIONS BACKUP IN PLAYSTORE

I HAVE ATTACHED A ONE-CLICK ROOT FOLDER FOR OB1
BELOW

ENABLE USB DEBUGGING RUN SCRIPT
IT WILL REBOOT WHEN DONE

ONCE DONE PUT IT SOMEWHERE SAFE!!

TAKE SIM TRAY OUT OF THE DEVICE

MSM TOOL BACK TO OOS 11.2.8.8 NA OR EU

PLACE THIS (A12 D1 VARIANT) ON TO YOU DEVICE

NOW LOCAL UPGRADE DURING THIS PROCESS LEAVE SIM TRY OUT

ONCE IT STATES REBOOT CLICK IT AT THIS POINT INSERT SIM TRY

ONCE DEVICE REBOOT YOU NOW WILL SEE DUAL SIM IS ENABLED

NOW TO MAKE IT STICK PERMANENTLY!

IN THE FILE LINK I PROVIDE GRAB THE OXYGEN UPDATER APK

INSTALL SELECT YOUR FLAVOR OF A12 OB1 OR DP2 WHICH EVER ONE THAT YOU BACKED UP YOU INFO ON

DOWNLOAD AND LOCAL UPDATE

YOU MIGHT START TO BOOTLOOP ON REBOOT IF SO

HOLD POWER AND VOLUME DOWN ENTER RECOVERY AND WIPE DATA
REBOOT

NOW ON REBOOT YOU SHOULD SEE DUAL SIM WORKING
IN THE REAR INSTANCE THAT YOU REBOOT AND ITS NOT WORK

PLEASE CHECK IF IT READ IMEI BY TYPING *#06# OR IN THE ABOUT SECTION IN SETTINGS
IF IT STATS NULL
IF SO TRY STEPS BELOW

PLEASE REMOVE SIM TRAY AND CONNECT TO WIFI AND REINSTALL SIM TRAY AND CHECK
YOUR IMEI IS STILL THERE 100%
ITS A OB1/DP2 GLITCH WITH ARE DEVICE MODEL!
WAIT A COUPLE MINUTE AND REBOOT

FLASH TMO TO EU MSM TOOL
YOU IMEI AND SIGNAL WILL BE WORK FINE


(ALSO DO THIS IF YOU WANT TO RELOCK YOUR BOOTLOADER )

THE LOCAL UPDATE BACK TO A12 AN IT SHOULD BE ACTIVE

NOW ITS PERMANENT ON A12
YOU CAN DOWNGRADE BACK TO OOS 11 BUT IT WILL NOT SHOW!!
IM WORKING ON THAT!!

when you go back to A12 it'll will show

Wow i have a le2125 and i am tempted to try. Just out of curiosity, what files or partitions are you changing to achive this dual sim mod? I was always curious about how they locked it on 9 pro

Well for one I wouldn't call this a mod
as this doesn't get removed even after msm tool flashing stock Especially for TMO LE2127 witch normally kills mdm retention that this technically "MODIFYS" as you would say mod for the TMO le2127
for the TMO 9pro the effect is different then to the NA le2125
as I only had one test for that device that really didn't give much feed back other then it worked for them and screen shots

as where had 2 great tester on TMO plus my self to test the many why to get this to work!!

also as I have not got it stick on oos A11
I consider this is still under testing and will not release anything more then what I have
Due I'm not going to have ppl killing there phone or turning them in to paper weight like I did
also I only released this due to other's bugging and blowing up here and telegram nonstop
Once I should that I got it working

I did manage to get my US unlocked 9 pro to show two SIM slots with separate IMEIs after following the steps through flashing the "A12DUALSIM" zip. Only one SIM card was active and I did not have the ability to toggle the second one on or off. Waiting to download the latest open beta again to try and get it to "stick" as OP said.

Edit, I forgot to mention that I removed the SIMs to try and swap their positions and the phone stopped recognizing either of them.

Edit 2. My phone is a 2125 which is not what the os is reporting.

Yes. Also it reported my phone as a 2120 but it is a 2125. Now back in a boot loop. Guess I need to msm back to oos 11 and start over.

i honestly think it is a matter of time until oneplus silently enables second sim as they did on older devices.

I'm just an old software dev with a 9 pro interested on what OP did to block 2 sim (which files or props). So there layed my question.

IMHO any user that tries this and bricks their device is entitled to their own responsibility as you are if you don't release until stable.
