download this twrp and boot to it(NEED NOT FLASH) and go to Advanced>Tools>Disable DM-Verify
I'm not allowed to give external links for now.
go to google and type "twrp for Redmi 4x" and then select xiaomifirmware link and download TWRP_3.1.1-0_Redmi4x_7.zip

afterwards again boot to twrp and install faceunlock.zip and done.

You can most probably receive OTA Updates but you will lose any root.

How can u flash without TwRp? Just want to know...and I hope this won't need root access...and will it void warranty if install custom recovery

this command will make the phone to boot to TWRP recovery Temporarily but your Original Mi Recovery will not be replaced and you can performed your required actions

this command replaces Mi Recovery with twrp recovery. and you need to go to Advanced>Tools>Disable DM-Verify to remove Force Encryption(available in MODIFIED RECOVERY of xiaomifirmware website)[Iam not allowed to post links for now]. only after Encryption is not Forced, your Redmi 4x will boot else it will be struck in bootloop

Try face unlock module with magisk it works for me .

Yes. If you unlock bootloader then warranty is void.

No unlocking xiaomi phone bootloader doesn't voids. Warranty as far as you unlock the bootloader by official method

Yes. MIUI updater will flash the OTA,but it removes twrp,root and installs MIUI recovery

I think u should check out smart lock of google. This face unlock feature was provided in the google stock android since android lolipop (as far as I could remember), I used it on my Yu Yunique running on CyanogenMod 12.1, 13.0, 13.1 & 14.1. It was quite accurate in good lighting condition. These companies just created a hype of face unlock, except Apple, which actually uses 3d technique, otherwise all other companies just altered the stock rom and removed that face unlock feature, and now they r saying they r providing smartphones "with face unlock feature", which actually google provided in its stock roms way back.

Yeah I know that it isn't that responsive and dosent unlock itself after face recognition we have to slide it anyways so I tot there must be a way to get the exact face id like miui in custom rom like Oxygen os its close to stock with that function
