Enable Native call record

This app will enable native call record on N5 (Tested on N920i). This will simply replace add call (+) button with record button. This app have no any control on Recording nor this app itself records call. This is Tool simply enables samsung hidden call recorder. You can Uninstall this app once you enable this feature.

Installation and use

-Install attached app as regular apk
-Open app and press on enable manual call record to enable it. (same way you can disable it too)
-Grant SU (Needs root)
-Wait till pop up message to reboot device.
-Once you reboot device, dialer + button will be replaced by record button
-You can uninstall app now.

Dr Ketan, can you please tell me where the recorded calls are saved? I have a rooted Sprint Note 5 6.0.1. The add call button was replaced with record, but I can't seem to find the recorded calls (if it's working)

Works on Galaxy S6 with root like a charm. Still able to add a call as well.

Ok..all out goings calls can be record but what about the incoming calls ?

Installed Busybox but still add call button is not replaced by record call after reboot. Any other idea?

is anybody here who has workable native call recording on android nougat? It could be that this feature is excluded by defaut from this ROM

Just tried on Note 5 android 7 and it doesn't work. Just wanted to share for those still looking.

I tried Classic Call Recorder from the Play store and it has the option to record or not record, it's in the app settings

To enable Native call recording on Nougat, 2 lines must be added to system/csc/others.xml

<CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>RecordingAllowed</CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>
<CscFeature_VoiceCall_EnableCallButtonInFdnList>TRUE</CscFeature_VoiceCall_EnableCallButtonInFdnList>

Add the lines and reboot. No more apps are needed just for call recording.

I try but not solved. Is it sufficient only to copy and paste inside the others.xml? Or need a specific format?

Put those 2 lines in the file, save the changes, check if the permissions were modified (should be 0644) if you did it directly on your phone and reboot. Shouln't be any spaces, for example here on a PC Brower appears "TR UE", if you copy-paste the line with that space it will not work. I've tested it several times before sharing. (Sprint Note5)

Question: You indicated the use of the Add Call button. So if you add the Call Recorder to that button, will the Add Call feature be disrupted and no longer work. One would still want to be able to add a call. Please advise. Thank you.
