Also works fine with Tasker without root,

Create a profile that runs at boot, choose the custom settings action with the following values
Type : Global
Name : global op_voice_recording_supported_by_mcc
Value : 1

Maybe a noob question, if I install the module flashing it via twrp, I'll safe for the boot loop that is present if the module is not uninstalled in magisk before the system update?
Or maybe before the update I have to uninstall the module also if it's installed via twrp. Who knows?

You have to uninstall the module (please note that this is not the same as disabling it) in Magisk Manager BEFORE you apply/flash the OTA. This is mandatory, irrespective of whether you installed it using Magisk Manager or TWRP.

This is a simple profile that enables the call recording that is already build into the OOS. What it does is to toggle a system setting deep within the OS. This requires root.

If you are not using Tasker (you should, Tasker is awesome), the jOnePlus Tools found on Playstore - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.jroot3d.joneplustools - can also toggle this setting.

What this means is that you do not need this Magisk module, with it's cumbersome and difficult requirements regarding removing it before OTAs, etc. The solution provided via Tasker or jOnePlus Tools is the CLEAN, NATIVE and CORRECT way of doing this. If it works for you, you should avoid using the module here.

As a final note, I mean no disrespect to the creator of the module here, I'm simply informing people what's up and down here, to allow everyone to make decisions based on the most information available.

Kind Regards

I have just updated to the new openbeta 31 for oneplus 6t.
Keeping the module activated the sim is not recognized and the com.android.phone process crashes if I try to enter the sim settings.

no, I flashed ob31, then magisk and restarted. I lost root, flashed from fastboot twrp and then flashed magisk. I thought the problem was the call recorder because it also crashes enabling it with oneplus tools.

What do you recommend for a clean installation?

You clearly mentioned that you did not uninstall any magisk module prior the update. So, in my opinion this can cause such issues. Reading the instructions in the first post can prevent this ;)

I did a million tests.
I uninstalled the modules, I flashed many times on the OB31!

I also went into fastboot loop and I solved with the mauronofrio tool (you should know it: P), after, I flashed ob31, rebooted and all working.
I go to fastboot, flash twrp, flash magisk and the telephone module is unstable, when I make calls I find the speakerphone enabled and everything freezes, the only way to restart is to keep the ON button pressed for 30 seconds.
I go to twrp, flash ob31 and everything works.

Where am I wrong?

if u dont have root and want twrp+magisk then :

1. fastboot
2. flash twrp.img
3. reboot to recovery
4. flash installer + magisk
5. reboot
6. i had problems with quicksettings, emojis, sound etc
7. do local upgrade(dont reboot)
8. flash installer through magisk(dont reboot)
9. install magisk to inactive slot
10. reboot. (it works fine now although im not sure if its my wifi / or its a bug.

I had this issue with the 10.0.1 update as well, and it's happening again on 10.0.2 now. There's 100% something wrong with the module when upgrading the OS, I uninstalled* magisk modules before upgrading and now the module is broken (no sim cards and sim & network settings crash), something's not right with the module.

Did you reboot your phone after you uninstalled the module and before updating the rom? I never had issues...

I uninstalled the module, rebooted, then upgraded my OP6T to 10.0.1. Now I am facing fc whenever I try to open sim settings... I don't want to do a factory reset, is there a way to recover from this? Will installing stock OOS 10.0.1. TeleService.apk help?
