There's your issue. Magisk Canary. Stick to the Stable/Beta releases and the module should install fine.

You're right, i own you a beer. Working now. And i guess that at this point, it's better to use the app than the module.
Cheers, good to know it's working! And feel free to use whatever works the best for you. That's the beauty of having options! :good:

Has anyone tried this module on OP8Pro? I haven't flashed an adb enabled recovery yet so not really excited about testing, in case the phone bootloops... :)

Flashed the Magisk module on the new OB1 with Android 10 for OP5, it enables call recording but disable the network, and SIM settings crash if you try to open them.

Already tried to uninstall/reinstall the module, but no luck (I have Magisk 20.4).

I had the same problem first, enabling the module in magisk, because I didn't uninstall it before flashing the updated version of OOS. Then I remove it and flashed last zip in the OP as local file from magisk and reboot. It's working now.

Well, I updated OOS uninstalling the module first as always, but...

Anyway, yesterday I decided to do a clean install of the new OOS wiping all data first.
Then I installed Magisk and this module and worked without the data issue, but then when I rebooted phone in recovery and wiped only cache/dalvik, the issue come back
So at the moment I uninstalled the module... was the issue caused by wiping cache/dalvik? On Pie this could be done without issues

Which twrp are you using ? and which rom ? TWRP doesnt support Android 10 yet so that could be TWRP related

I installed it through Magisk Manager.

Anyway, I have OOS 10.0.0 (the new OB1 for OP 5) and latest bluspark TWRP, that should support Android 10.
There is nothing to do with Magisk module while you wipe cache or dalvic. Thats probably TWRP issue. TWRP not officially support A10 yet. But im not 100 sure of course. 80% twrp 20% module
Edit-1 i guess blu spark doesnt support a10 yet. İt says pie. I guess there is a recovery that unoficcially supports a10 you may try with it and share your exp with us

I tried also the mauronofrio TWRP version: it's the same.

I just did several cross tests. If you flash the OOS Call Recording module for the first time it will work. But as soon as you wipe Dalvik cache (only Dalvik, not /cache partition), then when you reboot you don't have signal and data settings will FC. It's not the first time, in the thread there are several reports of this kind of issue.

When this happens, you have to remove Magisk module and reboot, data and phone signal will come back, but as soon as you reflash the Magisk module they will go away again. The solution is to uninstall the module, reboot, and clear Telephone app data. Then you can reflash the module and have both connection/signal and call recording feature again, but if you wipe Dalvik... here we are again.

I'm sure that with OOS 9.x (Pie) this wasn't happening, I use this module for several years, and removing it before any system update and then reflashing it was enough for me to avoid any problems, but I can always wipe Dalvik if I need. So there is something wrong with Android 10 and this module.
@shadowstep if you want look at it, I'm available for testing/reporting ;)
