I think this should work for the Verizon model as well because I learned how to do it via a thread for the Verizon G4.

As some of you might have noticed the Att model doesn't seem to have themes available for the LG launcher via the LG smartworld app like the T Mobile model does. Here is a trick to be able to get the theme menu to show up.

First install LG smartworld from here:

www.lgworld.com
(You may need to allow installation of apps from unknown sources in your phone's settings menu.)

Download whichever theme(s) you want to try out.
Then, install Any shortcut from the play store from here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oboenikui.anyshortcut&hl=en

Put a shortcut for the anyshortcut app on your desktop and launch it.
Set a new shortcut with these specifics:

Application:
com.lge.launcher2

Activity:
com.lge.launcher2.theme.LGThemeChooserActivity
(The other fields can be left blank.)

Hit create and go back to your desktop. You should see a new shortcut icon with the generic android logo. Click it and you should be able to apply any of the themes you downloaded from the LG smartworld app.

Give it a try. Hit thanks if this helped you.
Also if someone could verify that it will work for verizon, I'm sure others would appreciate it. Enjoy.

Application Not Installed

I followed the instructions you provided and the shortcut I created only produced an error stating the application was not installed. LG Smart World is fully installed as well. Ant ideas would be appreciated.

I'm gonna give this a shot but what if been doing (if it helps).. If you have a g4 or g3...use that and apply the theme you want.. Go to settings and do a back up of your home screen. Take the g4 or 3..hook it up to your computer and drop the back up folder on your desktop. Then plug in the v10 and drop that folder you backed up from your g4 or g3 to your v10. Then on the v10 go to settings and apply the back up and viola. Your theme is applied.. If you have any key board themes they work as well.. Hope it helps..

Can you supply the apk for the activity?

Only tiny issue I had was to correct the typo and spell "activity" not copy "activty" which I tried first and I came up with the same "app not installed" error. After correct spelling it works like a charm.

Thanks for the heads up about the typo. I'll fix it to avoid further confusion for anyone trying to use this guide!

YES!! It worked for my LG V10 (H900) and now I have the ability to access all the themes I wanted to apply to my phone. I would like to know why this isn't available for all the phones? It's a great personalization feature that many enjoy and I think its ridiculous that we have to go searching for answers on how to apply such a thing. Thankfully, we have people like you that provide those answers--THANK YOU =)
