Encryption without Knox

Hi.
I currently have Sony Z5C, but it's slow as hell with encryption enabled, so I'm planning to get s10e and (obviously) root it.
As far as I understand some things will become unavailable, like SHealth and SPay, but those I can live without.
Will whole partition hardware-accelerated encryption still work though?
