Oh the suprises you unlimited data users are in for at years end.
False, I have two friends that are very high up in Verizon (they do not work at a store) they are managers for pricing and risk management. They informed me our unlimited data is safe due to the volume of customers that still have it

But they won't throttle someone on the share everything plan even if just one person uses more than 4.7 gigs per month. Why is that?

Remember guys there is no real money in Verizon or any carrier to keep unlimited data they lose money and heavy users take from paying users, unlimited data was offered then the highest plan you could get was 3gb 5.7gb is based on the research that the average consumer uses between 1 and 2 personally also unlimited data users make up 7% of consumer accounts that's not a whole lot, you should also reread your contracts sometime it states that at any time Verizon can cancel your service or services without explanation. I can tell you there was one person who used 1.5tb of bandwidth on a Verizon mifi, I can tell you the abusers ruin it for everyone sorry.. I can tell you if you leave Verizon it's not as big of a loss as you think. Because your other option is T-Mobile or Sprint which don't have LTE which have terrible customer service they both no longer offer 2 year contracts only things like edge and their coverage is 1/5th verizons

Negative our NDA state we can tell our consumers that changes are coming but we are not allow to disclose any information beyond that of priority nature for fear of competition getting wind of it or it not being handled in the right way if you signed NDA you'd know this you'd also know if your friends work for Verizon we do discuss and hint at upcoming changes we just never go into detail. However what shocks me is how many people know a guy or have a buddy who knows this... 90% of the time the guy either is false or no longer works for us also... I don't know why once again you wanna bicker NDA with me in the last thread you humiliated yourself by not reading the post throughly then challenged my knowledge and my position in the company so much so that I posted proof of employment with my Concessions account bill. All I am willing to say is there is going to be drastic changes to Unlimited data and going forward edge, etf, and 2 year upgrades will take your unlimited data from you someone above stated he kept it due to a glitch that will never happen again...
I don't want to bicker the NDA with you, I want you to quit acting like a child. I said I had no idea what your particular NDA stated.

I am well aware of the way some folks are maintaing unlimited and still getting discounted phones is the result of Verizon glitches...and that those glitches should not happen. No big secret there.

I have a grandfathered unlimited plan, I paid full retail ($699 at the time) for my Note 3 in January. I was offered the Edge 6GB loyalty option (for the same price) at the time....I turned it down. I can't imagine why Verizon thought I would be interested in less for the same price. Sure...I would have saved $400 with the carrier subsidity...but I use about 8 to 10GB per month. How much more would that have cost me over 2 years?

The other thread...I had my say, I don't beat dead horses.

Same with this one....I've had my say. I'm done.

Technically one line 2 years 10gb data a month 140 pre tax... Your current bill... 180 pre tax? I'm guessing

---------- Post added at 10:11 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:10 PM ----------

Edge pay full price same for 25 service discount you'd pay 115 pre tax

Your on a 5 year old plan I assumed you had an unlimited everything plan.
Nope....I have never gone over my minutes or messages...so an unlimited everything (or just unlimited talk and text) is worthless to me. Obviously others mileage will vary.

I have been with Verizon for 13 years. I got the unlimited data smartphone plan when Verizon first came out with the HTC Thunderbolt and LTE. That was March of 2011 (I think) and Verizon did away with the unlimited data plan about 3 months later.

I've had a cleanup here guys and I don't want to be returning for the same reasons.
Also, I suggest some of you watch your language on XDA in future.
Whether the filter edits your profanities or not, the intention to swear is clear and it's unacceptable. Knock it off.
If you want to continue the discussion here, keep it on-topic and do it with a civil tongue or don't even bother posting.
Thanks

Holy cow. I thought I was one of the few on those dinosaur plans. I have a the nation wide 700 with unlimited text and data. Think I've had line over 7 years. Don't know what mine alone costs since I have 5 total phones.

Being someone who sells VZW, it's not uncommon to have customers come in with unlimited data plans using 80+ GB /month..

They openly admit that they root their phone and enable hotspot without paying for it, then feed their entire house with 4G LTE data, cancelling Comcast/Qwest/etc.

It's people like THAT that ruined it for everyone else, and BECAUSE of those people, I have to get yelled at by grandma who thinks I'm taking advantage of her when I tell her that we'll put her on a 6GB plan, even though she's only using 500mb... because 'it's the principle'..

I use between 10 and 20 GB a month. I'm probably also one of the only ones who actually pays for the unlimited hot spot too. I get employee discount. So my bill is only 100 a month with unlimited texts and unlimited data & Hotspot. Have had this plan since the blackberry storm or storm 2. LoL

I get throttled a lot. Can't even stream a video. Ever. Always buffering. If i turn in the hotshot, I immediately drop to 3g. Like within seconds usually. This aggravates me cause I'm paying for that tethering. I'm not cheating them. I'd like not to be throttled using it.

I just got a offer from verizon for a 18gb share plan for 35.00 less a month then I pay now.

I have nation wide family plan
1400min
Unlimited messaging
Unlimited nights and weekends

100.00 a month plan

(1) unlimited data line -47.85
(2) 2gb lines -47.85 x 2

Puts me about 243.00 a month for 3 lines.

Not sure of I should switch...18gb is pretty decent and I will not get throttled.

I use between 50-70GB per month without any tethering and I've never been throttled.
