done! i'm happy now..
i don't know what libdynproc.so doing with the sound, but it makes zenfone 3 sound output really terrible (clipping everywhere).
now the sound is not aggressive as yesterday, more natural, and soundstage is bigger.

ty for listening, the best cusrom I've ever used for zenfone 3. fast, no lag and good customization.

do a clean flash .
for fm I think something is broken or the two apps are conflicting each other. the latest ROM has the initial FM app that doesn't give sound output

Clean installation takes too long. I don't like reinstalling applications. I can go back to the previous rom.

fm radio now works. found a workaround after searching hours in Google.com . disabled ok Google detection on every screen. now it works smoothly .
but no more voice commands :good: @mamarama9904

which version of TWRP is recommended? - can I use the "Treble READY" version from thread "[RECOVERY][TREBLE] TWRP Recovery for Zenfone 3" https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-3/development/recovery-twrp-recovery-zenfone-3-t3910401 ??
I have currently another version of TWRP installed. But the referenced version provides some interesting "TWRP survival" feature. Therefore I'd like to use this TWRP.

I am currently running the "XENON HD" build, which is no more supported since some months. As I have problems with Roaming, I have to go via stock ROM to this ROM.
I'd like to flash stock ROM with TWRP, so that I don't have trouble with unlocking and installing TWRP after flashing stock ROM. I found the description for flashing stock ROM with TWRP, where the updater-script has to get changed (see thread "Updater-script zenfone 3" https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-3/help/updater-script-zenfone-3-t3765128 ).

Does anybody know a better way to temporarily install stock ROM, to enable Roaming, before installation of this ROM?

TWRP-3.2.3-20190326-makorn645-TREBLE-zenfone3.img is recommended. other TWRP from him got an error when wiping. there is mirror in my AFH.
it's easy to flash stock with RAW image.

It would be very nice, to use such a easy method. I found so many different solution alternatives, where people are advised to install stock recovery image first, so that TWRP is overwritten. So I would be very happy to find a easy migration path to your cool firmware.

Hi,
I tried Yesterdays your suggestion.
At first I had to find a RAW firmware for my ZE552KL - which I found at "ASUS ZenTalk" thread "[More Information Needed] [System] How to upgrade firmware to Android O from Android M".
I was only surprised, that the TWRP had been erased this way - but as the smartphone was still unlocked, I had no problem reinstalling TWRP.

I found no way to avoid restoration of the complete google device account ((with apps, ..).) during the temporary installation of the stock firmware (which I just needed to activate the roaming). Does anybody know a better solution for temporary installation of a ROM? ((creation of temporary account does not work due to theft protection - you have to wait 72h before the smartphone can be connected to a new google account))

After activation the roaming, I installed your ROM with the suggested TREBLE-enabled TWRP version. As I didn't find any advise to activate the TREBLE-Feature in TRWP, I did not activate the TWRP-Treble feature.

My Problem:
I get unresolvable problems during installation of magisk, after the setup of your ROM. I get always a mounting problem with the /vendor partition. All suggestions for resolving of this problem, that I found in the internet, relate to TREBLE feature. It seems to me, that I should have activated the TWRP-TREBLE feature.
But I can not activate the TWRP-TREBLE feature without wipe of the data partition.

My questions regarding installation:

• Is your ROM configured for TWRP-TREBLE? - so should I have activated this feature in TWRP before installation of your ROM and Gapps?
  --> I would then install your next - OFFICIAL - version with activation of TREBLE beforehand.
• Or which magisk version should I install without activation of TREBLE?
  (( without magisk I can not use the F-Droid app oandbackup to restore the config of my apps - and can also not restore the account settings))

My experience so far:
It works fine.

But I have still two issues, that I had already with the other XENON HD ROM:

• after startup of the zenfone 3, the WLAN is activated very very late, so that WhatsApp and K9-Mail did already check for new messages by usage of mobile internet, before WLAN gets active. That's bad - IMHO system services and drivers should start with higher priority than user apps.
  --> what can I do, to change the boot order (or priority) of the WLAN activation and the apps like WhatsApp and K9-Mail
  
• very seldom the zenfone 3 switches by accident from normal view to the locked screen - which is quite bad, when I use the navigation app in my car (with unlocking by PIN or fingerprint)
  --> am I the only one, who has this problem?

-sorry, here is ZE552KL raw firmware. you may need
to update modem image after flashiing this. https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=238152

-you must erase google account and device lock from your zenfone before flashing firmware otherwise you may ask old account or password when booting new rom. if you asked dispite of deleting them, go to stock recovery and wipe data and cache.

-trebleize is in TWRP>Advansed>TrebleEnabler. follow instruction and full wipe and format data after rebooting in TWRP. you can get vendor partiton without no errors. but you have to be ready to erase all data.

-you have no way to avoid treblize if you use custom rom.
recent Pie rom needs to be treblized.

-last 2 issues are very specific. it's hard to fix.

YES you can use this ROM with ZE552KL.

Just make sure, to use the TWRP which mamarama9904 suggested - AND activate the treble feature in TWRP before you perform the wipe step in the clean install instructions!

As soon as I did enable the treble feature before the installation of the ROM, even my WLAN starts directly with system startup.
So this ROM works fine for my ZE552KL with enabled treble feature.
