Yesterday did experiments. I took the core of Spookcity_Kernel_RR-v2.5 and the original kernel [G800F / M / Y] [7.1.1] RESURRECTION REMIX N 5.8.2, used the kernel repacker.exe program. I installed RESURRECTION REMIX N 5.8.2 on a clean phone. And I installed the resulting kernel. The phone was loaded, the main part is working, Wifi is working, the mobile network is working (there is no mobile Internet). Applications are started, but everyone has a problem, there is no access to memory., There is no way to save a photo or screenshot. And there is no possibility to install applications. The file manager does not work. If you fix access to memory and mobile Internet, you can get a working kernel., Unfortunately, I do not understand anything about this. (Google Translate)
I'm not real sure why this is off of the top of my head. I've been trying to build a kernel that would pass safteynet without luck. Safetynet is a bit of a mess. I'm nearly ready to give up on that. I will focus on this soon.

If interested in testing a very early version of a new kernel with no features added at this point (lots of optimization flags, updated Linux kernel and compiled with UberTC though) check Here
[G800F/M/Y][7.1.1]RESURRECTION REMIX N 5.8.2
No problems so far. I'll be testing on. Thanks. (Google Translate)

Testing on BeanStalk ROM and EVERYTHING seems working perfectly. Amazing work! Thank you Rick :highfive:
If you want, I can test the kernel with all features! Wowww!!!

I have problems on recording audio... From yesterday To 30 minutes ago it was working... But now it is not working anymore. It records a distorted sound like an interference.. Tried wiping cache/dalvik but it's still not working...
:crying:

Hmm,interesting. This is something I'll have to look into. I'm not sure what would cause this, especially since it had been working for you. I'll look into it.

Edit:
Any chance you can grab a log of the problem? If not no problem. I'll try to test it out at some point.

Edit II:
Nevermind on the log. I have distorted recorded audio as well,so I can grab one. I'm going to try to start disabling some build flags. Maybe try another toolchain and see if the problem is still there. If it is it's due to one of the 50+ Linux patches I applied. That will be just my luck lol

Hey sorry, i'm reading it only now. Anyway, i had another little problem, i think related To this new kernel... That's the situation: i restored the old stock kernel of BeanStalk in twrp and after this I noticed my battery was charging VERY slow...Like double of the usually time needed And this night it wasn't charging at all. So this morning I found my phone shutted down and charging at 27% So i made a clean flash and all is working now.

(I hope my english is clear and undestandable :silly:)

Yeah, completely understandable. I'm not sure if this is kernel related though. I have this occasionally as well, with all ROMS for our device. I just need to unplug and re-plug the charger and it generally works as normal after that. I'm not sure what causes this.

Edit:
That said,ANY issues that you expect may be related to the kernel I certainly appreciate hearing as it should be a lot easier to track down the cause at this early stage.

I noticed a strange thing in the audio, if you restart the phone the audio recording does not work but if you turn it off and then turn on the recording it works fine.

Interesting, thanks for letting me know. Hopefully it's related to the distorted audio issue,so if I can figure out what's causing that it will fix this issue as well.

I have built a new version. The only change is I have reverted the last few Linux patches (to 3.4.105) as I think the last few may be causing the distorted recorded audio and other audio related problems. Please let me know as I would like to start adding features to this, but will not until I can get it working properly with just the Linux patches.,custom toolchain and optimization flags. Thanks!

Flashed! First thing I noticed is CPU working between 90% and 100% on 1400MHz :crying:

Edit: after a reboot it seems working better now. Deep sleep works too
