So mainly Roms by Expressluke? Yeah i have problems in other devices with those too. Maybe tried searching for someone else who ports or compiles gsi ROMs?
Yes, I tried these because they were reported to work in this thread. Anyway, I also tried AOSP Ten by phhusson. Same result. I guess there is some incompatibility with my device. I just bought it sealed with 6.0 installed, I think completely untouched since 2016, made also TA backup and so forth. Maybe I am also missing something. But I do not know what it could be. For now I stick to 8.0 stock, heavily debloated, patched kernel, magisk rooted. However, security patch from mid 2018 is not optimal. Anyway, I really like this little device. Better than today's mid to low budget phones...
rom build expressluke can boot everything in this project ... even all igors7 amber sourceforge roms such as stag os, titanium, bliss 12.2 and so successfully installed in this project ... I've tried it ... if anyone has found bootlop ... then someone wrong with how to install it ... with a note, for igors7 rom must edit permisive in buildprop vendor .. i don't know how ... because i was given my friend .. my device is f8131.

Flashed again and again... a) flashed stock with flashtool, b) entered fastboot mode, c) flashed treble boot, treble oem, gsi on system, erased cache & userdata, flashed treble twrp, d) rebooted. The sony boot logo appears, the boot animation appears, the boot animation stops, reboot. This happens two times, then the phone stucks at sony boot logo forever. Formatting data in twrp does not help. This happened with each and every gsi/treble combination I tried (perhaps 10). I am clueless now and giving up. Thanks for your replies!

for those who have problems installing GSI 10 ROM ... or can't install GSI ROM in this treble ... can join our telegram group ... maybe members there can help .. small local groups community from Indonesia with Indonesian language ... but you can ask questions in English ... members will certainly help ...

hi sjll! i have a problem,The wifi stopped working,after I connected to the wifi network and normal use.when it happned the wifi will automatically disconnect and cannot find any networks,until reboot....i'm using lineageOS17.1 and Project Treble v2.01.

i think the wifi dosen't fix.after i update to the version v2.10 and lineageos 17.1-20200309 the problem still happend.but it doesn't the same error.

it's seems like brcmfmac problem,it doesn't fix until sony fix it on kernel 4.9 source code.
i don't like kernel 4.9 because it has a lot of bugs,
but i think sony will not move tone devices to kernel 4.14

I saw you feedback this issue on github, but the symptom is wrong.if this problem happn, turn off wifi and re-open it is dosen't work, the only way to solve this problem is reboot phone.
Chrome freezes on virtually every device as of right now,
Try using an alternative browser, kiwi browser if you don't want to fully give up chrome for now or brave or something
my wifi have stoped working after 2-3 days but if i reboot the phone, the wifi is working again and till this day. i hope siji wil move this project to kernel 4.14 android 10 v4c
edit: i am using pixel experience (test version by expressluke and sjii 2.11 test kernel)

i know that reboot can make wifi work but the probelm still happen again. now i'm try myself build aosp9 to find out the problem is from treble or sodp's code.
Nono. It working till this day. You should try the 2.11 version. Btw sjii: make this project same like pie pls. Your pie project use sodp and the Android 10.0 for Xperia X performance project also use sodp and it work perfectly. I hope you upgrade it to v4c oem version for better performance. I know you working so hard on this project, thanks

Hello, everyone, I'm Sjll. Tone family(Xperia msm8996 devices) will stay at kernel 4.9 for Android 10. Our treble support for Android 10 has been released. There are some differences between Treble Pie, you need to know that:
1. GSI should be A/B ARM64. NOT A only as Pie.
2. TWRP should use a new version for Android 10.
3. Never flash software binaries from SODP, it has been included in vendor.img
