Hi folks,
Just wondering how is this rom suited for being a daily driver?
1) Any major issues that could hamper daily use? Like connectivity basics (LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth)?
2) How is the battery life compared to stock MIUI for instance?
3) What's the SELinux mode on this rom? In the beginning of the thread I saw someone say it's "enforcing" - is this still the case? Does it pass safetynet?
4) Does file transfer over usb cable work? I had a problem with this in the rom currently in use (Lineage 14.x)
5) Is there any noticeable slowness or lag compared to stock rom?
Hey, I use this Rom as daily driver and it's working good.
1: no
2: should be pretty similar, when using vantomkernel it should be better
3: it's enforcing and safety net fully passes, Playstore saying certified
4: yes
5: no

Hi Neo,

Any plans to use LOS/Xenon Kernel for RR in future? The screen on delay is the only major gripe i have with this rom otherwise i love it.

No I don't want to use those kernels right now. But in near future, when I'm back from holidays we will get a modified kernel for RR.
BTW: Wight said that it is fixed

I used 4th August build of vantom and it was still there.... are you talking about last 2 days commits?

can you share the latest kernel zip to test?

Just for clarification, can I flash lineage kernel on your ROM and it should work I think? I guess I'll try and let you know

You can try to flash LOS kernel... Vantom Kernel doesn't include fixes for this, when I'm back from holidays we will update.

How big a lag are You talking about?

maybe it's only my phone but sometimes screen wakes up fine. other times I need to sleep again with power press and then again wake up and it comes fast

---------- Post added at 07:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:52 PM ----------

however neo said it's fixed in latest commits. maybe new build includes the fixes

I asked @NeoArian and he is using Wight kernel which has wake up delay but he said wight is soon going to merge the fixes from LOS kernel hence it will be ok in next few updates.

Till then i'm staying on XenonHD as it uses LOS sources without wake up delay.

You can just use LOS or Xenon Kernel on RR, just extract the boot.img and flash after RR rom.

Hi @NeoArian, I'm trying to use a Google Camera version with telephoto lens support but I can't seem to get it running. Does this ROM support using the telephoto camera or am I missing something?

Below post from other thread showing setup used.

Hi @fu24, I can't seem to get any of your mods to work. In Camera2 Test it only shows Cameras 0 and 1. When switching to the telephoto lens the Camera app crashes. I then have to reinstall the app to get back into the camera. Any ideas? Is there any debug info I can get for you to help?

  • Mi6 All in One Minimal Magisk module - have tried a, b, c and d
  • MGC_5.2.022_modded_Fu24-1.6
  • Resurrection Remix build O-v6.1.0-20180730-sagit-Official

I switched off the "Allow Interruptions" option of an app which was not adapted to the notification channel feature, but there seems to be no effect. Notifications from this app still displays as fully expanded. However on a March build I previously used, it was functioning normal. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

I decided to bring 3 Rom types for the next Time :
    - Weekly, which is based on LineageOS Kernel and will get updated every Monday. SlimOTA works for all Weekly builds.
    - Official, which is based on LineageOS Kernel and will get updated if there are bigger changes, for example Security patch Updates. It won`t have own OTA, which means that it`s same OTA like Weekly
    - Experimental, which is based on Demon000`s new Kernel and will get updated if there are bigger changes. It will have own SlimOTA, which means that the Updater will only show Experimental builds.

    Weekly will be uploaded here,
    Official will be uploaded here,
    Experimental will be uploaded here.

    Greats Arian

BTW: You should be able to switch between all 3 types without format data and wipe everything.

Here comes the final ResurrectionRemix Oreo 6.2.0 Build
I am happy to be able to present you the (last) Official ResurrectionRemix Oreo build today and i want to thank all ResurrectionRemix Oreo users for all the support and feedback you gave me.
You can download the build here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/resurrectionremix-oreo/files/sagit/
To install the build follow the Instructions on the First page (updated :`)

    New Kernel Features:
*Overclock and Undervolt (Use KernelAdiutor or EXKM to revert Overclock if you dont like it)
    *Frandom support
    *USB-FastCharge
    *Adreno idler
    *Adreno boost
    *Fsync support
*Added some Governors and I/O Scheduler

I hope you enjoyed RR Oreo. That this is the Final build does NOT means that there wont be Official Updates on ResurrectionRemix. I plan to continue with ResurrectionRemix Pie when it is ready :)
So stay tuned and enjoy RR ;P
    Have a nice day!

If you want to use a Custom Kernel for extra Features (like overclock) i would recommend:

*VantomKernel, the "nonplus-ultra" with tons of features : htt
*ChamomileKernel (pretty slim kernel with Overclock : https://github.com/xiaomi-msm8998/kernel_xiaomi_msm8998/releases/tag/v4.4.154 )
*VantomKernel, the "nonplus-ultra" with tons of features : http://159.65.193.144/vantom
