I'd like your advice about : Custom rom with less ram usage and/or better management for my Moto G4 Plus 32/2 ?

Hello,

I have a Moto G4 Plus XT1642 32G/2G.

Some apps are closed automaticly when in background or when my screen goes on standby (podcast app for instance...).

I set them to "no optimize" in battery optimization but it doesn't help.

I have a lot of apps installed and i think i have just an insufficient ram.

I'm doing a little clean to try to resolve the issue but i'm asking myself if a custom rom could help ?

If yes, do you have one to recommend ?

I would like a very stable one with no random reboots, and a good working of my two sims and my 128 GB microSD card. I don't need special features. Usually i liked roms like LineAge OS (it was Cynaogen when i used it on older phones) or Slimroms...

I have actually the stock rom Android 7 and it is quite stable. I have about once reboot once a 2 or 3 month.

If i with to a custom rom i want to be sure it worth (stability and better ram usage for my issue with closing apps), because i have a lot of stuff to reinstall if i flash my phone...

hi Eric yes thanks I saw that.
seeing as 14.1 is stable i am looking to build that with microg; going the docker route as described here - https://hub.docker.com/r/lineageos4microg/docker-lineage-cicd and here - https://8192.one/post/lineage_build_with_docker/.

would be interested to know if anyone has gone this route in building lineageos : )
