Feature Freeze

People reading the official los-16.0 thread may have expected this:

I'm not using nlos-15.1 any more. I've started to bringup nlos-16.0. I don't know, when I'm happy enough with it to publish an alpha build - it's always so sad, when switching from a full featured, optimized and proofed to be working rom to a construction site...

Since I'm "one man, one device"-dev, I can't work on feature requests for 15.1 any more. I can't check myself if foobar is working or not or get a logcat myself, either.

I'm planing to provide updated builds (i.e. on sec patch level updates or kernel updates) for quite some time.

If someone is willing to build nlos-15.1, please rise your hand and contact me.

KERNEL UPDATE: v3.18.129

There is no single upstream commit since Dec. 12 that effects nlos-15.1 or oneplus3/t.

Only the kernel is updated to v3.18.129. The most comfortable way to do this is updating the bootimage:
  1. Unpack attached boot-3.18.129.zip.
  2. Place the contained boot-3.18.129.img i.e. in /sdcard/Download.
  3. Boot to twrp.
  4. In twrp:
    1. Tap "Install".
    2. Tap "Install Image"
    3. Navigate to the folder containing boot-3.18.129.img and select it.
    4. Select "boot image".
    5. Swipe to confirm.
    6. Go back to twrp's home screen.
    7. Tap on "Wipe".
    8. Tap on "Advanced".
    9. Select "Dalvik / ART Cache" and "Cache".
    10. Swipe to confirm.
    11. Tap "Reboot to system".

Don't forget to reflash boot image altering packages like Magisk.

Happy flashing!

Fully waiting and will jump right away when nlos 16 is out.

I've been on NLOS 16 for months now lol xD

P recents is a big improvement. I guess the notification bar is ok too. I really like the notification style though.

Thanks to the only Xposed module I use Xposed for: Android P-ify. Unsupported of course :p

Did you try flux substratum theme? Looks like p, but much better... ;)

[sarcasm]Best of p is "DigitalWellbeing". Relax mode renders the device graphically to a PalmPilot on steroids... [/sarcasm]

I saw some screenshots of flux. Idk I like swiftblack with the P-ify module better. A theme can't replicate some of the best features on P for me, like the recents screen and transition animations. Going back to the old one feels so wrong. Also I've always been using swiftblack and I haven't seen anything in flux that would make me want to switch. Wasn't ever looking for a pie theme, just a simple, reliable, regularly updated black theme. But after trying P-ify could never uninstall it. Not worth getting rid of it to play Pokemon go.

Also there's an issue with substratum. Even with all the auto update options checked, I have to update themes manually since auto won't work. Auto update worked during the brief period I was on LOS 16. I also randomly get substratum asking me for root access, but I just deny it. Minor random issues like this with substratum here and there even on a clean flash, which I occasionally perform, but I don't really mind. Otherwise I love this ROM and will be the the first to flash NLOS 16! I also wish I could eliminate the microstuttering on one of my games, called Hearthstone. It's the only app that does that. Weird considering the specs of the OP3T.

The only reason I'd install Xposed for P if it ever becomes available is to install Android Q-ify lol.

Also I'd offer to build NLOS 15 since you asked for someone to volunteer, but I don't really have the hardware or knowledge about Android to do that. Though I'd be interested in learning. I am studying computer science, but it's mostly because I want to be a cognitive science researcher. I'm not that interested in programming for a job, but I do love to understand how things work at the deepest level, so I'm interested in programming for learning purposes. Basically I don't want to code for someone else for money, I want to research the brain.

1- which gcam app works fine?
2- any performance improvements than NLOS 15.1?

Thanks
Whichever worked good for you on nlos 15.1
I used
MGC_6.1.021_BSG_Arnova-based_v.1.2_TlnNeun.apk
I do not know about
MGC_6.1.021_BSG_Arnova-based_v.1.3a_fix_TlnNeun.apk
Thats the latest one.
Edit: i used the camera fix mod in the thread too on oreo as a precaution, and i came to pie via dirty flash, but the camera and the module worked fine. Your mileage might vary :)
