I like to welcome you to the thread about the new HulkRom. This ROM does only support the GT-I9505 Variant (S4 International) all others are untested but may also work!

Hy my dear friends. I think a lot of people already know me here on the galaxy s4 thread I am the developer of the Hulk-Kernel and if you don't know me yet, you may want to have a look there too. I also develop for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S (IronRom and IronKernel) and since a week for the Galaxy S5 Plus (NovaRom). I really like developing and this kind of stuff, so here I am presenting you my new self build rom (touchwiz based). Full packed with great features!
By the way, it is called EOL (End of life) because I got this new phone mentioned above and I not do much here (updates etc.)

Nobody is not allowed to take stuff from my rom without asking me! Thank you.

The rom its self is Touchwiz based, I made a lot of optimisations to actually enjoy my device as it is at the moment, stock was just to boring :victory:
I am using latest Samsung sources to create this rom. So now lets begin with the features :victory:

How to install the rom:
1. Download a custom recovery, TWRP or CWM/Philz
2. Download the rom and put it on your phone
3. Lollipop bootloader and modem is a MUST. I even want you to update your current to the latest one, the bootloader is and the new modem can be downloaded here!
4. Boot into download mode, put the bootloader in BL tab and the modem in CP tab. Hit start and wait until your phone reboots (latest Odin is attached here)
5. Backup all your things to your external SD card
6. Reboot to recovery
7. Install the rom
8. Select IN AROMA what kind of an install you like to do: dirty flash, clean install or full wipe
9. Reboot and wait for 10 minutes or so

- Updated kernel to Hulk-Kernel V1.3.5: Based on OF2 kernel source, updated to linux 3.4.108, updated to OH2 ramdisk base, enable UKSM instead of KSM, update nightmare/darkness governor and enable 500MHz GPU step

Good morning, first thanks to the rom... is very good know that we have a hope in our S4 yet. I have a question.. to stock kernel work, is necessary the same bl and modem? And.. superSu and root works properly with it? I ask you 'cause in other rom (goldeneye), with stock kernel apps that need root only work if "root mode" in SU apps was setted "alows', of mode is "ask", popup do not appear and that apps do not work. Sorry for my english

If you would read in the OP it said a bug is the S6 gallery will not show the thumbnails but he will try and fix.

You'll need compatible Lollipop modem and boot loader for stock kernel to work without issues.

I have flashed this ROM and still wait for play store apps to download and since it's very slow process (still 66 out of 137 for 3 hours) and I don't want to waste more time I'd like to ask something I saw during setup. I selected the Hulk kernel and saw an info that apps will optimize at each reboot (that takes 2-3 hours on my phone) will this happen always? and if I understood correctly, I have to uninstall stweaks to avoid this or just disable some feature in there? if that's the case I'd like to know so that I uninstall it before I restart as I don't want to lose another couple of hours.
