... It was completely stable (no reboots or anything,) it didn't hurt battery, didn't hurt performance, and didn't interfere with anything (apps, or other functionality.). Anything like that now?
Which of these is not met by stock kernel?

What if I rephrase a bit: is there one that I can just flash and forget? With this kernel I'd simply flash it in TWRP and then forget about it; I didn't have to apply any tweaks or do anything else besides flash it. Could you please supply a link to the Kiri thread. I'm an EX fan myself, as well, but with Flash gone, I am curious about other kernels. Thank you,They all pretty much are flash and forget. If you like stock, the go with Ex or sultan. If you like the latest upstream changes, then go with kiri kernel. Kiri and Ex have more tweaks available, whereas sultan stays very close to stock, but offers great performance as well. Personally, I'm an Ex fan, and have been for years![]()

Can you flash that Kernel directly over EX or Flash? Or do you need to only flash over stock?

And sometimes multiple times a day lol. That guy never sleeps.Yep, running EX right now, no customizations, just defaults. I've been waiting for Sultan to drop a Dec build, but it was time to get the Dec security updates. Nathan ruined us with his builds every few days!
I fully expect to see a Nathan-esque character in the next Avengers movie (after Endgame), as a world renowned code writer / developer![]()
Dude me too. One thing I miss on this device is the lack of someone creating twrp flashable zips each month with the stock kernel. It's above my pay scale, but it was always a nice option for those of us who can't sit still. LolThanks my friend! Being a grandpa is too dang fun. According to the Dev, he recommends just flashing it in twrp, then flash magisk again. He really doesn't say if you can flash it over stock or another kernel. However, I've seen others flash it over different kernels. Personally, I'm old school when it comes to flashin kernels. I like flashing the stock boot.img, then twrp.zip, then kernel, then magisk. But that's just me![]()

If you want a kernel that is going to be similar in feel and stability as Flash, look no further. You can flash it via FK Kernel Manager, you just won't have the auto update feature.
