CSC Selection for SM-G95XF/FD/N (all others untested!)​

What is this for?
CSC stands for Country Specific Code, so every single country (and even different providers in one country) have different codes, for csc features, wallpapers, wifi calling, VoLTE, sounds etc. So it is quite important to have the right csc file on your phone for your provider (so you can have all features which comes with your provider (like wifi calling)).
You may ask yourself now, where can this be flashed on? Basically on every stock based rom, as well as on stock roms (who are rooted of course). So: root and a recovery (custom) are required!
Your current country is not listed below? Send me your stock csc file from sammobile.com (SM-G955F variant) and I will add it!

NOTE TO ALL DEVS: You are free to grab any csc you want from this zip, as long as proper credits are given and a link to this thread exist in your OP.

How-To install:
0. Have twrp installed/encryption removed
1. Having a backup (just in case)
2. Download csc selection and put it onto your phone
3. Boot into twrp
4. Install the zip file
5. Reboot :)

How to restore the EFS-Backup:
As you all know, during the csc installation an EFS backup is made by the installer. Most have no idea how to restore it, so here you go.
1. Boot into TWRP
2. Make sure EFS partition is mounted
3. Open terminal under advanced tab
4.
Code: 
dd if=/data/media/0/EFSBackup/efs.img of=/dev/block/sda3 bs=4096
5. Wait until it's finished
6. Your previous EFS has been restored successfully

Hey. Sorry to bug you again. So.. have u seen the app I refer a while ago? That have many csc tweakable thing? Can you add them inside the zip to auto patch the csc feature? Thank you so much.

@Tkkg1994 Hey. Just noticed this. Can you add this option on csc tweaks ? So the camera have anti banding setting on csc like 50/60hz . Now, they enable it so it will help remove those flicker because of the electricity hz on like lamps etc... Now like example I'm here is on 50Hz. And I'm using XSA which selects 50hz which is fine. But if I use other csc that use 60hz . It will mess with image quality if i use like lamps on different hz as it will flicker. So my suggestion is to add another page before the csc tweaks. To select either your country use 50/60 . But now the problem is some people don't know this. So if u have time u could add like region lists . So if I select Indonesia it will automatically select 50Hz . So that after applying the csc and mods it will use sed command to just change the hz. Oh yeah sorry for long post but. I want to make this better for everyone ??

I don't know exactly what the difference is between XEU and BTU, though I read somewhere that BTU is UK unbranded direct from Samsung while XEU is UK unbranded from a third-party (e.g. Carphone Warehouse). They are both unbranded, though, so XEU is not branded for EE nor Three.

The EE UK CSC is 'EVR' and the Three UK CSC is 'H3G' (so the latter is UK branded for Three).

I can upload the EE CSC (latest is from AQDG) if that would let you include it in the next release. What do you need? I have the CSC and HOME_CSC .tar.md5 files from the stock ROM - are those what you require, or is it more specific than this?

I only need one of those files, the csc is enough for me to add it to the selection :)

However my S8 is exynos Singapore version.
I cannot find the Hong Kong csc in your utility.
Is there any other csc that has the volte enable?

I do not know for sure and cannot verify myself as I am no longer with Three (H3G) but to the best of my knowledge, and as far as I've read elsewhere, for VoLTE to work on Three you need Three's H3G CSC to provision this, whereas WiFi calling should work on BTU or XEU. This is the same as on EE, who I am with and - FWIW - where I can confirm that without the EE's EVR CSC VoLTE does not work (but WiFi calling does). For VoLTE you need to take into account that the area you're in may not have had it rolled out - I don't know whether Three has rolled it out across their network in full yet or not (I know EE has). This Three-specific thread may be of interest on this topic, as may this EE thread.

    How-To install:
    0. Have twrp installed/encryption removed
    1. Having a backup (just in case)
    2. Download csc selection and put it onto your phone
    3. Boot into twrp
    4. Install the zip file
    5. Reboot :)

    How to restore the EFS-Backup:
    As you all know, during the csc installation an EFS backup is made by the installer. Most have no idea how to restore it, so here you go.
    1. Boot into TWRP
    2. Make sure EFS partition is mounted
    3. Open terminal under advanced tab
    4.
    Code: 
    dd if=/data/media/0/EFSBackup/efs.img of=/dev/block/sda3 bs=4096
    5. Wait until it's finished
    6. Your previous EFS has been restored successfully

    Few things to mention before you go on:
    • Just because your CSC isn't listed on this update it doesn't mean I ignored it. Many csc files are in a multi csc these days and I only highlight the default csc on the updates.
    • I haven't changed the way how TGY csc is getting installed, its normal that you have to flash your csc directly after the rom without booting up, so a wipe is sometimes necessary
    • I am looking into the problems with TMK csc, it seems to only be present on SM-G950U devices but no on G955U, I'm still investigating into this and now I haven't forgot it :D
    • Last but not least: I will make a separate csc installer for N8 devices. This one here is made to work on S8, S8+ and S7/S7e running full ports, not any note 8 devices. As said before, a n8 based csc selection will be released when I got the time to work on that :good:
