Hey! Thanks for the quick response! From what you've said, I need to make extra sure. Now, I followed the instructions exactly. The instruction says Install FRF50 with Radio. So I assume it did what it need to do. So from what you have said, it didn't.

What now?

How do I get one of those radio thingies? And do I just install one of those or do I need to restart?

Thanks in advance!

When I flashed the FRF50 with radio firmware at the end it said hit the trackball to reboot and to complete the flash process by flashing the radio firmware and on mine it flashed the radio too, so far I had zero issues so far ;):D. I do have to say that I work on industrial printers that require firmware flashing from time to time so this process was nothing new to me. :D:D:D

Yeah that camcorder problem was on mine too with FRF83, So I went back and flashed FRF50 with the radio, Then flashed 83 after and now video recording is back on with no issues so far.. I just wish they would fix the awful sound on video recording. Like 8 bit nintendo audio....I am loving Froyo though, nice alternative to the iPhone 4.

It worked! Thanks for all the help.
What I did wrong: After installing FRF50, the last little instruction said to press + and - volume together. I miss read it and did not do that and that is the cause.

Thanks again.:D

Wi-fi scanning problem

I can't connect to any wifi networks now. It just keeps scaning. I can add my password, and my network shows in the list. Setting the sleep option to never doesn't work either. I'm at a loss. Should I just go back to cyanogen?

Are you on FRF83 now ? You can go to cyanogen ... but can u try to go back to FRF50 and check if you still have issues ? I don't have wi-fi issues and have even tested USB tethering and wi-fi hotspot successfully on FrF50.

To go back to FRF50 ... just use Paul's FrF50 file mentioned in the guide .. move it to root folder of SD card .. rename it to update.zip .. boot into bootloader and in the recovery screen just go to install from zip and install the update.zip file.

No need to wipe ... so you won't lose any apps and stuff. Let me know if it works on FrF50.

I've also had wifi issues after trying anything FROYO based (FRF50, FRF72 or FRF83)... if you somehow get it working, please confirm here.

My radio from upgrading through this thread is "32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.12_7". I'd suspect the one in Kang's is the same, but maybe someone here knows better?

Progress?!?

WiFi continuous scanning problem appears to be with WPA authentication. On my router I was using WPA TKIP and a 63 character passphrase. Copying the phrase into the wireless settings wouldn't allow my N1 to connect. I didn't have this problem with EPE54B. I noticed when inputting a shorter phrase, the wifi would actually attempt to connect. I changed the password to something shorter and now the wifi is appearing to stay connected (20 Minutes so far with no drop).

I can't believe I didn't wait for today, this is so freaking annoying! I mean why don't they publish expected release dates??

Anyway, having battery problems since upgrading. I charged the phone to full while on before going to sleep, it was on standby all night, woke up with battery half full (or half empty, depending on your outtake on life) the stats say it was used by the "Android OS"... Any thoughts?

On that note, can you link me to a thread explaining how to upgrade from this guide to FRF85B ?

Thanks for the help..

Stuck at FRF83...

Oh Man! I am not a techy! So I followed the instructions on this tread to FRF83. With a hiccup (Forgot a step and had to redo).
Now when I try to do the FRF83 to FRF85B, I get the No signature error and aborts. I searched and searched and can't find anything that points to what I am doing wrong. The general instruction to update is to press Vol + when getting the warning sign but I don't get that with that recovery-RA-nexus-v1.7.0.img installed.

Please help!

Just install the file from the following link.

http://htcpedia.com/forum/showthread.php?p=67177#post67177

Download the file next to : "- without radio image"

and if you need to root it

use the file from the link below it.
