Please, no "that's what she said" jokes. Rate this thread to express how you think the Samsung Galaxy S7 feels in-hand. A higher rating indicates that it's comfortable to hold for long periods of time, even in one hand. Resist the urge to say "TWSS" just now. Seriously.

Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

I am a big guy with big hands, but have always preferred a small phone. With my s7 (flat) and the thin fir spigen case on it I really have zero complaints. In fact I think it is about the most comfortable phone to 1 handed surf on I have ever had.

Too slippery. Bought the OEM clear cover because of that. Its also slippery but makes the overall feel a bit better + i can place it to table or slide it with no fear scratching it.

I miss the menu button!
Some apps do not have an on screen menu button, so the device needs one.

(I rooted, so I could use a rebutton to make a long-click home the menu. And, no, the long-press back won't work with every app!!)

it's kind of an impossible question. Everyone's hands are different. I can palm a basketball with long fingers on a comparatively smaller palm, so I can navigate damn near any phone short of 6" single-handedly with ease. And even then, the Huawei Nexus 6P I can use one-handed fairly easily. But the Moto Nexus 6, not so much. But I still do prefer the smaller phones for pocket comfort, as I dislike belt clips and holsters. So I chose the S7 over the Edge. And I honestly LOVE it. No problems whatsoever with the size in my hand or pocket. I haven't put a case on it yet. Honestly, I don't want to, no for the sake of size, I just don't wanna cover this beauty up. But I will be buying a thin one for it shortly. Likely before the end of the day honestly

I prefer on-screen buttons, especially when it leads to a smaller chin. I also dislike the back and menu buttons being opposite of what they are in the OS. I don't care for the glass back, either. Otherwise, the phone feels fine.

As for me, I too have big hands perfect for the note series and I've had the note 2,3,4 and now the s7 edge and regular s7 as I'm not a fan of the note 5. I will be trading in my s7 edge for the note 4 again as I can't stand the edges. Without a case the phone is unusable for those times when you just want to go naked. I always touch the sides even with a case on it. The s7 is great and I love the feel of it in hand. The sides are just to pronounced on the edge. They were better made on last year's model I believe.

I accidentally trigger icons/actions which are closer to the bottom of the screen and far out on both left and right. This is when I hold the phone and operate it with one hand. I've been a Nexus 5 user for two years (several Android phones before that), and the issue I'm having is simply because the screen on S7 is raised above the phone's edge and curved.

Great

For me it feels quite great in hand. It's small and comfortable, because of the rounded glass at the back. It's a little slippery but it's the best phone i've ever used.

The placement of the Back button in the lower right makes it awkward to operate the phone with only the right hand. You have to contort your right thumb, or slide the phone around, to reach the Back button, which I use more frequently than the application switcher button. Stock Android has the soft Back button to the left and the task switcher to the right, for good reason.

Also, the power key is too low on the right edge of the phone. S7 Edge had it at the right height.
