Error code: 64 Wrong architecture to set up open gapps

I have followed this article to install custom rom and gapps on my sony xperia z3 D6603. Custom Rom installed fine but when i try to flash gapps, it returns me this error message. I am choosing correct version of gapps but it looks like that there is problem with latest twrp. I saw this issue on their github but i dont understand exactly what the latest comment is about.

Mount /system first. The updater-binary use unzip command which is on /system.

what is that supposed to mean?
on the other hand there is another suggestion to use older 3.0.2-0 version of twrp but I cant find this version for Xperia z3. there is for z3 compact and i tried it and it doesnt work at all. even if I find this version can I still install CarbonRom latest version or lineage 15.0?

I already mounted system but what does it mean install from the recovery? I am new on that can you tell me more specific
