Hello XDA members,
I received (gift) a brand new Google Pixel 3XL phone and I wondering about eSIM support. I can´t find any settings related to this. I saw some articles about Verizon version which do not have this opportunity. Anyway I have two questions:
  1. How I can find version of my phone - Verizon or other?
  2. Is it possible to somehow enable eSIM support for Verizon phones?

Thank you.

I know that the Google version MEID stars with 99 and I think Verizon starts with 98. I don't know if there is a Google fi version or if they just use the Google version.

As far as esim capabilities. The carrier has to activate it on their system and then you download the esim onto your phone to tell it what towers to connect to.

AFAIK Verizon still does not support esim on the pixel yet. I tried to activate it in February on esim and the guy at the store tried multiple times to get the pixel esim ID into the system but it wouldn't even accept all of the digits. Again that was in February so i 'guess' things could have changed but I highly doubt it as the guy at the store called customer service and they mentioned that eventually they will support it but it was not high on their priority list.

Good luck
