Pretty sure you can get a V20 for a lot cheaper then that.

You can get the US996 from B&H for $379. I have both and both are great. If you like music then hands down the V20 is better. Otherwise I prefer the PH-1. Same 5.7" screen as the V20 but the size of a 5" screen phone.

For updates, get a PH-1. US996 unlocked has had zero updates this year. No security patches, no OS updates.
For camera performance, probably the US996, but the PH-1 is getting better.
PH-1 more compact, easier to "one hand"
