Hmmm.....
How much better the battery life on the 3730mha? And how much slower does it charge compare to the supervooc?

I still don't know which version to get.

Australia has 2x versions. 128gb regular vooc, google play, themes and gestures.
A new one has just been released which is 256gb with super vooc, google play. Can't confirm gestures or themes.
Lamborghini is coming soon.

China: right as you wrote but no google play ( esasy to install). Just few languages. Battery 3730 mha vooc and gesture. I have this one
Indian: right as you wrote. Google play inside. Global languages. Battery 3730 mha vooc and gesture.
European: it's uk too. Right as you wrote. Google play inside. Global languages. 3400mha supervooc but no gestures.
Lamborghini: same as EU version but more expensive (more beautiful and a lot of stuffs inside the box)

That's all

Supervooc is hardware so you can't have it just with the charger

Yea I tried that xda dev app, which works but it requires the accesabiltiy service. On normal phones no problem but Oppo insist on making your statusbar flash orange if you use either accesability service or developer options.. pretty stupid, I know. But I haven't found a way around it.
I have the CPH1875 version (ITA) and i confirm....no gestures at all.

The orange status bar is very annoying, i wrote to Oppo support and they asked me that gestures could be included in a new firmware version (maybe) but nothing to do for the message in the status bar.
This is the big issue, because with third part application, the lack of gestures was not a problem!

I've read here in XDA a tutorial about removing the launcher stock with ADB, but not for EU version and i'm a little bit scared...

You cannot change the launcher on the UK version?

Pretty sure you can with no problems. Dutch version is the same I think. I can change launchers al I want without any issues.

But the orange flashing statusbar for dev options or accesability service isn't launcher dependend. If anyone knows which system apps triggers this that would be awesome though. Than I can uninstall that system ap through adb.

This seem to be the busiest thread....so this is the best place to ask..

What do you guys think of the phone? Is it worth the premium price? is the uniqueness worth the shortcomings?

Well I think it's an great phone that would be awesome if Oppo had done the software part with a bit more serious thinking. The face unlocking never tires though and works extremely well. Not being able to theme the thing in europe is a weird decision but I have some hope that it changes in the future with an update.

You can't root it though, which would be OK if it hadn't Color OS. Color OS has some nice things, but also many things that are simply stupid. Like no notifications in the status bar (Make atleast a goddamn notifciation counter than if you want to keep it clean Oppo(!)) Or for example the not being able to use accesability service without getting an orange flashing statusbar.. what were they thinking?!?

And offcourse it's very sad that they don't allow unlocking the bootloader like the better brands out there such as Xiaomi.

It's like Apple's style (unfortunately) so you have to swipe down the notification bar and also you see a notify (colored circle) on the home interested icon app.

I confirm, no problem with changing launcher.

The orange bar depends from launcher only if you want to use the gestures included in the same launcher.

So I have the PAFM00 (Installed PlayStore & Play Services from the oppo app store NO ISSUES), I have all gestures enabled and working, notifications come thru and give the banner and icon dot notification, edge notification led, can't change launcher as I normally would but can remove oppo launcher with adb( you loose gesture support with this though so i haven't ) I have been using it now for a week in Barbados and Im actually surprised by the performance,( i thought the Chinese stuff would annoy me) but I have been enjoying it, i have it synced to my gear s3 smartwatch and have no issue with notifications etc...i have google assistant installed (only downside i cant use ok Google activation due to color os limitations of the included oppo voice assistant) but i can open the google assistant app and use it perfectly as i would on any google device. It seems oppo can more or less solve MOST problems with a software update as some devices have features that others Don't, ( I got my version from Gearbest for less than 800USD during a flash sale with the discounts i got for signing up) suggestions for notifications ( enable and allow EVERYTHING via permissions, notification management and PHONE MANAGER (THIS IS ESSENTIAL) and so far i havent gotten any issues with my notifications....Its a bit diff to regular android devices but at the same time its not all bad so id say if you can get a Chinese unlocked model for less than the 999 MSRP price id say GO FOR IT , PS If you need cases let me know i can share the links of the ones i purchased and so far they are all NICEEEE especially this one i have that protects the camera sliding mechanism as well as the screen.

Thanks for clearing that up! That would be crazy if i didn't have notifications. How is the screen? 1080p is pretty low resolution in today standard.

What I'm really curios about the Lamborghini edition, if the function will differ depending on the region.

I have India version. I would rate the screen as excellent. The colours are very vibrant and really 'pop', similar to a Samsung, and there is limited ability to change that, so if you prefer a more natural look (e.g. huawei) it is going to feel very saturated. The vooc charging is extremely fast so I am not convinced there is much benefit in practice in having supervooc.

Overall I think it is a great phone. Form factor is gorgeous and high quality. Bezel-less display is stunning, especially with swipe gesture mode (removing this on some versions is a major disadvantage imo). For me, Color OS gives me 90% of what I am used to, especially with nova launcher installed. The lack of notifications in the status bar is strange - I don't understand why they removed that. Having to swipe AND tap to dismiss notifications takes some getting used but does not ruin my life lol. Speed and responsiveness have been flawless with not one stutter or crash in the week I have owned it. And of course the sliding camera provides the wow factor no other phone can...I still switch the camera on several times a day just for fun... :D

Its AWESOME...its a bit higher than 1080p (1080x2340) looks REALLY GOOD ....the Lambo version is probably the same as the European ones(just a diff color/patter and the Super VOOC which is just 0-100% in 35mins ) but ITS NOT WORTH 1500+EURO or USD just waste money in my opinion , Again I say get the chinese model at the cheaper rate, ps my device is running ColorOS5.1 so im hoping I get some mote functionality when the newly announced 5.2 releases

I personaly doubt, that there are three different 256GB versions out. I think all of them support supervooc by hardware. Anbody tried the indian one with a supervooc charger?
Regarding the gestures, the newwer ColorOS do have an option in to restore them. Out of the box they are turned off, because they are a bit conufsing fro most people.

Nah that's not possible. Supervooc is only possible with 2 batteries. Basically it's charging 10v 5A, which gets as 5v 2,5A per battery.
That's why the EU versions just like the lambo have 2x 1700mah batteries. The regular version has a single 3730mah battery. And thus has definetly no SuperVooc support. (see also the teardown of the Find X)

Personally I'd rather had the bigger battery though.

i thought, that every 256GB version does have two batteries ...
