Just reread your post. - I'd misread it - thought you meant you had run out of storage space :laugh:

Personally, I keep system just for system apps as it's limited in size anyway. Works well with Pico or nano GApps. I'd ensure you regularly integrate system updates (or flash latest GApps package) as these otherwise waste space on Internal, more over time. Also, enabling 'Force allow apps on external' in Developer Options makes any app eligible to be written to external adopted storage, regardless of Devs manifest values, and will free up much internal memory since many Devs don't enable this. Nb. you may need to move some apps back if they need root permission, associated widgets don't work, etc. See my tips in full at post #6342.

Hello. my stock y550 stuck at boot logo. I rebooted into recovery and tried to wipe data / factory reset, mount cache fail and mount data fail repeatedly appeared and then it says shutdown system now.
When i try to flash via sdcard (volume up, down and power), it doesnt start installation infact it takes me back to recovery mode again.
When i try volume down and power key, screen goes black and blue notification light starts blinking.
Is there any other way to flash rom?

Hello guyz, I have to first unlock bootloader to flash any ROM for example LineageOS or Mokee? In Fastboot mode I have bootloader locked message. How to unlock it? Phone: G620S-L01.

Mate, I did! Please read the post I pointed to at the top of that page. Quite long, I realise, but you shouldn't contemplate modding phones without digesting such information. Also, unlocking solution is a bit more involved now than it used to be. PW

Well, sorry, but looks likely EMMC memory is damaged from overheating, which is common with Y550. See my post #6652.

Could try a DLoad flash in case EMMC memory somehow recovered (read my other posts on page 666), but this is highly unlikely. May be time for an upgrade. PW

Known bugs:
- the WiFi MAC-address sometimes switches between a Huawei-prefix 68:a0:f6 and an Airgo-prefix 00:0a:f5 on reboot

My personal Y550's wifi has died, so I cannot test any wifi-related features.
There is a chance I'll get my secondary Y550 back, but that will take some time (months).

Sorry, I have no method other than those mentioned in linked post.

Kernel Adiutor mods / settings would have been nice, but these don't play nicely with our kernel and none seem to work. (We did have this ability with Nato's custom Soviet Kernels and OctOS ROMs, but these are comparatively old now, and out of date.) PW
