Just a general question - I'm running the AICP ROM - Android 10 - at the moment. If I flash this Android 11 ROM will I have any difficulty going back to Android 10?

I only ask because downgrading Android versions on this phone has proved pretty much impossible so far - and I LOVE the ROM I'm running at the moment 👍

This ROM looks great! One big problem I encountered was that I couldn't flash Magisk after I installed GAPPS. Constant error messages. Booted the ROM without root and tried various versions of Magisk via TWRP - without success.

Any advice anybody? I'm back to my previous ROM (AICP) but I'd love to give this version of Evolution a proper try! 😃👍

You shouldn't even be installing gapps on evolution X as they have them built in

Hi.
I want to know:

Do calls work (whatsapp and/or voice or both)?
I am asking because of this issue I had with Lineage OS 17.1 where I literally didn't know if someone was calling. Because there was no ringtone, no call screen nothing. Hence I want to know about calls.

It is mentioned above that it is evolution x for hero2lte. Will it work on herolte??

Can someone tell me how good it is in terms of day to day performance and battery life?

Is it better than lineage os 18.1(android 11) in performance and battery life??
I am currently using FloydQ rom and the performance is bad. Time to time freezing and other annoying stuff.

PS: please tell me how good the gaming mode is. i.e does it make any noticeable difference or impact on games?

Thanks in advance

The main download link is dead, the mirrored one ended up downloading herolte version instead of hero2lte which ended up failing to flash on my Samsung S7 Edge

Is speakerphone issue (samsung license etc.) solved? With lineage os i cannot use it because calling and speaking over speakerphone doesn't work. Because called person and me get an echo.

Ok, well I'll make sure not to do that again! 😉
That wouldn't explain why I can't get magisk up and running though, surely?
In theory magisk should just work by flashing the latest in recovery

i have alot of previous notes to import from samsung notes, and for the AOSP call app i find it annoying that it doesnt show the contacts stored inside the sim without using a third app to do the import, i also can't save new contacts to the sim card.
the only reason i wanna use this rom is because somehow it fixes a wifi issue that i had since a long time, when i connect to my home router the phone says there is no internet which i fix by disconnecting then reconnecting multiple times and i found out recently that this bug doesn't happen on those android 11/12 ports
I don't think you can install those apps on an AOSP rom but maybe give a try to FloydQ Rom.
It's based on OneUI 2.5 and Android 10. You'll be able to use all those apps there and hope that there won't be any wifi issues.
