Well Just had a preliminary review of Evox 5.3

The only major thing I see from 5.2 is that printing of the Hz for individual per app thermal an performance profiles now shows the numbers.

It's buttery smooth an the only bug I thought I found might not be a bug?

I think I just got lost in the settings. I got messenger bubbles to appear when I tapped on a messenger section.

Just with no profile photo of the person in the messenger bubble.

I think that is me not understanding the settings for bubbles an maybe a change or setting in Facebook messenger.

Or maybe just an anomaly?

All in all apart from a tiny bubble issue with one person on messenger this thing is amazing.

Smooth an great bench's even when a bit hot from flashing an rebooting a couple of times because the first flash I did not have a zip file.

So apart from my errors I am sticking with Evox.

An donating payday.

Take my hat off to the devs 😍

Passed net safety pass first time. Settings no resets needed at all. Also seem to be some volume panel changes or perhaps I did not notice them in 5.2?
I'm at PEPlus 10, but I really liked the "60/90hz" feature. So... the refresh rate can change dinamically depending on app is running?

Quick question, what are the changes in the latest build on sourceforge ? Are they just nightly builds with small bug fixes and improvements or do they have special features ? Thank you.

Did not notice. An to be honest I don't understand them? Lol
Its easy. Imagine you have poor signal at home/work.
If you have a WIFI hotspot, all your incoming/outgoing calls are going to be routed via WiFi instead of GSM.

Same applies to calls in roaming.
So, when I travel outside of EU, as soon as I'm connected to WiFi, all incoming and outgoing calls to my home country are billed as 'domestic' calls.

Very convenient :)

Sounds like an alternative for routing calls. I did see that option but left it off as I did not understand what it was for. Also wifi calling I left off. Have not used those features but they are there. If you try the rom you can see if they work?

I am New Zealand based an we have just 1 time zone. Many coastal areas have poor wifi an data connections so those features might not help me

The option is always to be found in the settings.
But most of the time with custom firmware it just won't work, even if enabled.
This depends on IMS handling and can be tested via Engineering Menu --> Phone Information --> IMS Status.

Worth mentioning, that in order to work, this feature (VoWIFI) has to be supported by your cellphone carrier (operator).

I hope the maintainer could commit the SafetyNet fix and push to next build. Also, could VPN QS toggle be included as well?

Hello! Just installed latest build and tried to format data after first boot - TWRP gave me an error 255 and it's now unable to format data at all, is it fine? Or maybe there's some workaround?... Thank you!

Upd. found workaround - disabled lockscreen... That's weird since latest twrp support pin lockscreen...
Yes removing security like pattern number lock an fingerprint always best idea 👍

It used to be just a Google chrome issue. Now a 2nd app with yellowing. Maybe someone will come up with another fix 🙂 my night mode for screen spontaneously turns on at dusk. I just turn it off. It's just the Google AI I think. I'm on Evox 5.3 from 9/1
The thing is it wasn't happening on previous ROM I was using and then I switched to EvoX yesterday and it started happening...(

Upd. On russian forum I was given a solution - HDR fix. However IDK if I'm allowed to repost it here or post a link here to that site, so just google HDR fix for this device and you should find magisk module for that

Thank you for the latest safetynet fix, glad to be able to pass everything without magisk. Feels cleaner. Anyways, I found a small cosmetic issue with screen off. After certain time, the screen off animation stops working. Changing to CRT or Scale didn't have any effect.

First, I'm on Surya Global and before installing any ROMS while ago when things are ...
well could you link me a global stock image for Poco X3 NFC? I'm having trouble on what to download tho. Do I need to download the Recovery or the Fastboot?
surya global - for the future reference if you ever need to flash fw and have working twrp or ofox recovery flash in recovery this:
    MIUI.eu fw 12.0.7
    MIUI.eu fw 12.0.6
    MIUI.eu fw 12.0.4
    MIUI.eu fw 12.0.3
    MIUI.eu fw 12.0.2
it's a whole custom ROM based on MIUI, contains everything you need to flash custom rom (fw + vendor + also will clean up your system partition), in worst case scenario you can boot it and use it... (if you will loose twrp or ofox recovery only then continue to flashing via fastboot...)

so before you continue to flash custom ROM RTFM! read OP and read what requirements you need for this or that ROM...
if you will see fw number, flash that number then flash custom ROM, flash gapps (depends on if ROM has gapps build in or not) then format data, boot system ... done ... magisk flash only after you first boot custom ROM, otherwise boot loop...

if you will see required latest fw guess what? correct, you will flash latest fw and continue with flashing of custom ROM, maybe it will boot maybe not, if not try to flash one point lower fw and try again...

even if devs and copy-pasters try really hard sometimes custom rom will not boot at all, its not your fault, they messed up, wait some time, active dev often post new corrected version and try again

beware before flashing NOS11 or PEX official they need 12.0.3 fw (pex maybe evolved in time, but nos11 needs 12.0.3)
